It's such a beautiful building - even if you are not eating it's worth going there for a drink : check out the cellar bar etc. Only one small gripe - when eating in the garden you have to queue at the small restaurant bar, sometimes for ages, to get drinks. Everything was ready and waiting for us. The staff were friendly and hlepful and returned both our drink and food orders correctly and promptly. I have no hesitation in recommending The Rose & Crown and will certainly be returning to this venue for a meal again. For those ordering the salmon (or trout) dish, these serves could have been a little bigger. Those of us ordering meat and pasta dishes were more than satisfied (in fact we were able to assist the fish eaters with a little extra), but all in all a lovely dinner.   (May, 2008)

What a relaxing evening, we did not have a booking the waitress gave us a choice of tables which was great, throughout the evening she was attentive, curtious but not overly so. The food was beautiful. The setting would be great for a sunny day!   (Bel - April, 2008)
