About A Taste of India - Mosman

A Taste of India - Mosman has been serving customers at its Mosman's premises since 1989. Its co-owners, Zahirul and Zinny are both experienced restaurateurs. Before arriving in Sydney, Zahriul operated two sucessful restaurants in the UK.

A Taste of India - Mosman offers a wide sample of dishes from different regions of India.

From the north, A Taste of India - Mosman offers a selection of dishes cooked in the Tandoor (a traditional clay oven). Northern India is a cold place and the dishes from this area have creamy sauces with meat and dry nuts.

From the south A Taste of India - Mosman offers vegetarian and spicy dishes. This coastal food is tangy, hot and spicy and the sauces are often thickened with coconut cream.

    These guys are great. By far the nicest around the Mosman area. They are always on time, polite, and above all the food is delicious.

    I have tried many from Menu log on the North shore, but these guys are the only regular feature on my list. A definite thumbs up.   (Aengus - February, 2012)

    Great food!! And the speed of the delivery was just unbelievable. I ordered online at 7pm and the delivery man (who was very nice) was at my door at 7.31pm!! Very good for a friday night. The food was hot and delicious. Will order again   (Celeste - February, 2012)

    A quality experience. Good food (though vindaloo should still be hotter, I believe, and despite a specific request to make it HOT) with utterly on-time delivery. Only problem was that the driver carried just $5 in change - which meant that I ended up having to pay slightly more for the meal or have him camping on my doorstep!     Happy, friendly staff. Great service. Food was excellent. The Naan bread was very fresh. I had the Lamb Roganjosh and it was excellent. Ice Cream and strawberries for dessert with coffee. Very good...

      My husband and I went there for the first time the other night - being locals, we often see the restaurant looking quite empty so were not sure what to expect... but were very nicely surprised and had a wonderful dining experience.

      The food was great. The best Pishwari naan I had ever tasted (unlike the usual ones you experience which just seem like a regular naan with some sultanas stuffed in it, their freshly cooked naan with grounded almonds and a hint of fruit gave wonderful flavour) and their paneer and potato Kofta is amazing! Good tandoori range, and the added detail of fried onion on the rice was a nice touch. The only fault I could say is that the beef in the vindaloo was not as tender as I had hoped - but I am being picky here.

      A relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff, we will definitely be back.   (See my reviews (3) - January, 2013)

      Very attentive wait staff who made sure our dining experience was a good one. Entree was disappointing as one of the lamb cutlets was inedible. I would be changing my meat supplier if this restaurant was mine! All in all we enjoyed the flavoursome food presented.   (June, 2009)
