the staff members were terribly rude. They got our drink and food orders wrong, and when we questioned it they then had attitudes towards us. We also had breakfast there in the morning to see if we were just unlucky the night before and the eggs had shells in them, the plates and cups were dirty and the waitress got our orders wrong again.   (Brianna86 - November, 2010)

We had a big party so I would like to try Alfies on a smaller table. We had to wait and hour for our food (which was a problem for our 7 year old). The seafood was all exceptionally nice but i forgot the golden rule not to order steak at a seafood restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful and kept our glasses full the whole night which was great. They did hide out though at the first suggestion that we were getting impatient. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

One of the part owners of the restuarant was rude & the service is really bad. The waitress kept calling my dad "Mate" which sounded disgusting...There were a group of men swearing & being very loud and they kept serving them more drinks - they had been there since lunch and It was 7pm WHERES THE RSA????

We ended up walking out with our 2 x kids and the owner (not Alan Langer) was so rude that i will never dine there again. We walked upto TIDES and were seated and served our delicious meals within the hour.   (KJ - See my reviews (2) - August, 2008)

Service was excellent! A big thank-you to the great staff who were attentive, prompt and poilte, but not obtrusive. The food was excellent. Good value for money and very tasty, especially the pork belly and the calamari - divine! The restaurant was very comfortable and relaxed and we had a great time. I would definately recommend Alfie's to anyone wanting a great night out!   (See my reviews (3) - April, 2008)

Dear Alfies Restaurant, My husband and i came to your place for the first time Sunday 2nd September 2007. We had such a lovely time. To start with we were greeted by a lovely waitress. The view was just so fantastic. The atmosphere was great, as well as the music. Drinks were great, the waitress recommended a cocktail with bacardi and lime, which we just loved. The food was so delicious, i am still dreaming about it from last night. Everything about the food was amazing. It tasted so good but as i was eating it, i had the coconut crumbed whiting, it was nice to know how healthy it was, the mango was insane in a salad. The coffees were great too. The waitress and waiter were so lovely and kind. I must say we go to restaurants almost every week but my husband and i have to say we think Alfies is the best restaurant we have ever been too. We could not fault one thing, not that we were looking too, but when something is that good, you just have to tell people. I already am telling everyone about your place. A special Sunday night outing to what we thought was a top restaurant ended very disappointingly. The food was v. ordinary, no particularly delightful flavours, serves smaill (6 only medium sized prawns in a main meal King prawn salad!) and the service was mechanical and tired. The only positive was that the location is still fantastic! This was an extremely disappointing experience as we have enjoyed this restaurant several times before. I hope they get their act together again, but I won't be returning till I hear a good report. Such a shame!   (Smithy - May, 2007)
