The food at this restaurant was delicious but far more expensive than anticipated. It was great for a special occasion but not an everyday restaurant. Fortunately i had read reviews on here before going because i was then wise to their water scam (not once did they say that the bottled water they were offering was to be paid for but yep it showed up on the bill) and so i asked for a jug of water which seemd to upset the waitress but saved us a LOT of money. In response to other comments our food was served hot but there was too long a gap between our entree and mains. I was also a bit disappointed with the menu , much of it just seemed like italian food with a bit of spice. A good evening though

Although there didn't seem to be an Argentinian theme and the menu was very limited in choice, the meals we had were superb. Service was also extremely good and the staff very friendly. Definitely on the re-visit list!!

Great! I had a 2 important clients to take for dinner last week and was given the task by my business partner to find a restaurant to impress! and boy did we impress, food was great particularly the Goat Leg they had on the rotisserie, wine menu was extensive but a little pricey but fantastic service made up for it! will be going back very soon!!

We had high expectations of this restaurant and were very disappointed with the quality and presentation of the food. The steaks were a poor cut and were all (3) undercooked. We ordered medium rare, not raw. All meals were cold when served and the calamari was inedible, both tasteless and rubbery......

We were very dissapointed with the meal we received last night 26/3/09. The steaks which were supposed to be 500gm were small. We requested rare to medium and were served overcooked. The fish was only warm as were the potatoes and also overcooked. The white wine wasn't chilled. The waiter was lovely and tried hard. We have been to hthis restaurant before and it was great but last night we felt we could have done better for half the price at the local pub.

Great Food

I love going there - I go and take my family, meet friends there, have lunch - just love it. You will not leave hungry.

Service was brilliant, the chap looking after us was well presented with a good sense of humour and knew the menu well, great food the 3 x goats legs were superb. Unfortunately greed got in the way at the end of the night with 6 peoples food & 4 bottles of BYO we were then charged double corkage $30.00 for a Magnum of '94 Chapel Hill. The assistant manager made the situation worse by his explanations and comparisons to silver service restaurant charges. At the end of the day I wouldn't be going back in a hurry as a matter of principal.

Outstanding service and food. This is not just another Gaucho's, but rather it is several notches above. More like Vlado's in Melbourne, but with better decor! Well worth the visit! Alexander

Excellent service and food quality. Quite reasonably priced food. Excellent wine list - well presented however wine was overpriced with almost nothing under $30. Overall, we would go back for more.

Excellent fine dining restaurant experience me and my friends ever had in such a very long time. The foods were just amazing, we couldn't get through the mains after a big platter that we ordered as starters. The steaks were just divine compared to Sosta's and Goucho's. Talking about the service, our Asian waiter (only one Asian waiter, you can find in the restaurant), was just impeccable, charming and talkative. He warned us about the serves for main courses, but we ignored him as we thought we could get through everything. At the end, turned out to be that he always knew what he talked about. Definitely going back there again, and will ask for the same waiter to look after us again sometimes in the very near future. Overall, very satisfied with everything. Prices were just reasonable considering on the amount of food that we got on the plate. For those people who think that they got ripped off for water was absolutely non-sense. We only order two bottles of water and the waiter kept us going through out the night.

Excellent variety in food - even when asking for a vegetarian dish; we were well looked after. Bubbly staff and a sensational wine list - especially the special visit to the cellar! Seamless service, particularly with our large and boisterous function - all our guests were most impressed. Will certainly return!

As a regular visitor to this restaurant I can vouch for the excellent value for money we have receievd everytime we come to our favourite restaurant. In retort to the comment left previously, I can only feel sorry for the guest who obviously does not get the opportunity to dine out often - obviously not used to correct service procedures where water and wine are automatically topped up without needing constant requests! Always swift and professional service - superior meat compared to other grills around town - watch this space!

Ate there with a party of eight in early June 2007. Food very good, desserts quite special. Unfortunately were slugged $30 for water. It is quite devious how they do this, they keep filling your glass up and take the bottle away between refills (as they did with the wine bottles) so beware. They also have windows into the kitchen where you can see them cooking, but the window we were near was dirty with splattered fat, grease and blood. Oh, and whatever you do, whether you like it or not, don't mention the Belgrano...
