    I've been going regularly to Ashcrofts since it first opened in my home town of Blackheath and it is THE Best restaurant in the Upper Blue Mountains. Big call, I know, but I just love Corrine's...

    Friendly, attentive service. Have eaten there twice and enjoyed both experiences. Would prefer option to bring own wine. Make sure you try their soft-shelled crab. Delicious!

      I've been going regularly to Ashcrofts since it first opened in my home town of Blackheath and it is THE Best restaurant in the Upper Blue Mountains.

      Big call, I know, but I just love Corrine's cooking and Mary Jane's service. Others may have two hats - ort more - in the SMH Guide, but only Ashcrofts has that joyful combination of great food and great service.

      And the wine list is pretty good, too!

      I love the way Corrine varies the menu regularly, but will still do a favourite dish as a Special.   (Rob Emanuel - July, 2010)
