The table service is always timely, efficient and done with a smile. The all time favourite calamari + salad is that tiny bit different to other places and yet tender and completely satisfying - the best 'cafe calamari' in town! Apart from the noisy bustle of the customers who are happily eating, there is nothing to 'pick on'. (Veronica - August, 2008)

Everything was great but we felt like we were rushed through our meals and come 10.30 we felt pressured to leave. Staff were all cleaning and we were the last ones there. (August, 2008)

To start both the food and service at avenue nine was great. It was good to see the staff getting along, having a joke and helping one another out. There is nothing worse than little tin soldier staff all staring at you eating jumping at the chance to clear your table. The coffee was great and it was good to see a male barista, a nice change! Unfortunatley, as our meal was drawing to an end, a man who i believe to be the owner arrived. The ambience in the restuarant dropped to an all time low. Although the service was still great and we still did enjoy our experience it was a shame to fill the resturant with tension rather than laughter. I'll have to agree with the comment made, smiling is infectious.... (Lesley Dipolto - March, 2008)

Overall, not a bad spot for a coffee. Staff are attentive but will not go out of there way either. The owner could improve his caffe by not looking so emotionally depressed all the time. Smile and give you face a rest mate, it's infectious. (February, 2008)
