    After undergoing a major re-furb. Baguette has been re-born as a stylish French bistro. It has just won "Australia's Most Popular French Restaurant" from the LifeStyle FOOD Channel, which is voted by the dining public.

    The food is French with favourites like Spring asparagus with jamon, Fricasse of snails, Crispy duck, Spring lamb, Creme brulee and Souffle. A great wine list and professional service at reasonable prices make this a perenial favourite.

      We regularly visit Baguette as it is near where we live. The reason we keep coming back is the service, which is unlike anything I have experienced at any other restaurant. We are treated like very much wanted guests and staff bend over backwards to turn a nice dinner out into an extra special evening. Stephane is fabulous and we love that he goes out of his way every time we are there to look after us. Kris is a welcome addition to the team and we both love his cocktails and look forward to seeing the new cocktail menu with his concoctions. I particularly love the "feminine side car" as he called it and his twist on a Negroni with artichoke liqueur (sounds odd bet really gets the taste buds going).   (jen - December, 2009)

      It was our wedding anniversary and the staff at Baguette made it a special evening. The food was excellent and very well presented. The only problem my wife and I had was choosing which meal we were going to have as the menu had a great variety to select from.

      Food and service at the degustation (Vintage Cellars) with Balnaves wines was outstanding. Some time ago I thought that the consistently first class qualities of Baguette had slipped into a "resting on laurels" comfort zone of cost-paring, but this evening was made very special and memorable by the attentive service and superb food.

      One tiny gripe - not mad about the makeover - more Harvey Norman/Vogue magazine than Bligh Voller Nield.   (See my reviews (2) - August, 2009)

      Restaurant response - Decor/atmosphere is so personal. We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to Baguette's new look. We used Feather & Lawry Architects and are delighted with the result.   (See my reviews (2) - October, 2009)
