Very boring menu and tasteless food. Steak was tough and bland, fish (John dory) very tiny portion and also bland served with minimal amount of chips. Water glasses on the table but had to ask for water, cold coffees, dont bother with their homemade tiramisu also bland, inexperienced staff who wouldnt clear empty coffee cup from the table that sat there throughout the whole dinner. Then over charged by $50 at the end of the night.   (poor poor poor - September, 2012)

This restuarant serves the smallest meals we were all still hungry afterwards. Pasta and risotto are served on tiny plates and the crab risotto only had 2 tiny strands of crab on top. This restuarant is just a canteen with very expensive food. Don't bother going as there are many restuarants that offer much better food and value.   (baia not the restuarant - May, 2012)

I can not express how great the restaurant is. It was a Saturday night and at full capacity our serice was still awesome. I was there with few girlfriends and we all were absolutely satisfied! After 10 PM and after this yummy dinner we decided to move inside: music and cocktails were simply amazing! See you soon guys!   (November, 2011)

Service was very ordinary, had to ask for water a number of times. Meal was only ordinary and not value for money.   (kurryy - See my reviews (4) - March, 2011)

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, our experience was fantastic. We travelled for several hours to spend the weekend in the city and Baia Restaurant was the best part of weekend. The Kangaroo was exceptional. I can not express how great the restaurant was. It was at full capacity and still our serice was top shelf.   (Jason - October, 2010)

Warm, welcoming and friendly staff, exceptional service complete with genuine smiles. As for the food - generous serves, beautifully presented and divine! Staff were helpful in pronouncing the dishes! Dined with my partner and it was lovely to see how family friendly the restaurant was. Beautiful atmosphere, will definitely dine here again when in Sydney.   (MEC - June, 2010)

Having just been to the theatre and the rain pouring down this was a refreshing change from the grills and seafoods on offer around the harbour. The food was of a high standard as was the service. No pressure to finish and service polite during the meal. Would return to sample the other dishes on the menu. As vistors to Sydney this completed a lovely day even though the weather was not great.   (Grandparents on tour - May, 2010)

Had the special pork sausage pasta which was great, service was excellent, the outdoor heater caused some grief as I wanted then turned down to avoid one side of my face getting burnt, it was all handled with all patrons being happy. Great menu selection.   (Peter - See my reviews (4) - September, 2009)

My partner and I both ordered a pasta dish, which whilst nice, was too much pasta - meal would have been far nicer if it was served with an accompanying salad and a smaller portion of pasta rather than a big dish of just pasta.   (May, 2009)

My husband really enjoyed the seafood platter for one, excellent quality and value. It was his introduction to Balmain Bugs, a local variety of small lobster, not an insect! The kids and I found the pizza to be better quality than many others, great kid-sized ones available. Good wine menu and well-priced- we enjoyed the sparkling white and red wines by the glass. Sticky date/ caramel pudding was a bit dry- cheesecakes looked a much better option, huge portions! Atmosphere was great, buzzing and restaurant kindly kept our well-located table at the front, overlooking the harbour even though we were a bit late (it's on the harbour front, not Sussex St. which we trawled up and down). Popular restaurant- packed which meant it was difficult to attact the attention of busy serving staff but the staff were very nice and food didn't take long to arrive. Overall, one of the nicest restaurants we dined in on our travels in and around Sydney.   (Mina - March, 2009)

Average quality of Italian food. The location is the winner. Charge value price for such location. The superviser who processed the billing was careless & slow.   (JJF - See my reviews (4) - February, 2009)

We stayed in the city last month for a few days right near Baia and we were so impressed with the breakfast menu especially. We loved it that much we had breakfast there every day for our whole stay. And what makes it great they were one of the few cafe's around cockle bay that were still open for breakfast late. The omlette is a must.Cooked to perfection. We also had lunch there and were not disappointed.Keep up the great work.   (See my reviews (3) - October, 2008)

We are inclined to use this restaurant at every opportunity, probably averages out about 12 - 15 times per year.

Our daughter has also started to make this the venue for her and her year 12 friends.

Great "can do" attitude, and really excellent food.

Cold beer, and a more than adequate wine list.

Keep up the great work, team.   (Graeme - October, 2008)
