    We ordered and were told it was going to take an hour to deliver. After 2 hours the food still hadn't arrived... We called and chased them but it didn't help, we were told it was 'on the way'... Shame because we've eaten in the restaurant and the food was great.

    I always sample Indian cuisine no matter where I go in the world. This place is still THE BEST! Prices are excellent compared to other Indian restaurants. The place is PACKED every night of the week. Delivery can be a bit slow but that is a GOOD SIGN! They're always run off their feet as they are SO GOOD! Worth the wait & exquisite meals. Must try the Samosa Chat, Pumpkin Masala & the Aloo Ko Achaar (Nepalese Potato Salad). Phenomenal!

    After ordering my home delivery 1 hour and 20 minutes in advance, the delivery arrived some 30 minutes late with the wrong order. After this was sorted, he still forgot my softdrink & this hasn't been addressed, even after a call by me to them (where they suggested to me they were busy, I ordered by food at 6:40 for a 8:30 delivery, it arrived at 9pm & was wrong!!!!). As for the food, the prawn entre was over cooked and dry, the vindaloo was not good at all, in all, very poor. Honestly why would you bother, far better experiences.

    I have ordered more than once from this place. Their chilli chicken is very good and Keema paratha is good too. Chicken Biryani was ok. Mango Kulfi was good but felt quantity was less comaared to their price. Food was delevired on time.

    Worst delivery experience i've ever had. Menulog said delivery would be 1:30. Called to chase order after 1h45mins to be told another 15 mins. Rang back after 2h to be told another 15 mins. When i complained he hung up on me. He then rang back to say no one was home at my address. I complained again and he admitted they had gone to the wrong address. 2h15mins for delivery and no apology or compensation. Never again.

    I order here weekly, best curry in Melbourne and the closest thing you will find to a proper English curry anywhere. Deliveries can be slow but its worth the wait!

    Food was good but arrived 20mins late and the order was only half complete. Had to ring to find out what happened, rest of meal arrived another 20mins later rather spoilt the eating experience.

    6:30pm - Placed order 6:50pm - Got order confirmation SMS with delivery ETA 7:45 8pm - Called to see where our food was 8:15pm - Food finally arrived So food arrived 1hr 45mins after placing the order online, or 1hr 20mins after the SMS confirmation. I hope that's a one-off occurrence.

    This place is fantastic, one of the great Indian food places in Melbourne. I regularly pick up their takeaway and find the CTBM chicken dish to be delicious. The serving sizes are excellent value for money. I have never had to wait for their good service, my orders are ready when I am. Highly recommended!

    The food was great - best Indian I've had in Melbourne. Two things that could be improved though - 1) Offer popadoms with small portions of pickles and raita so you don't have to order them separately and land up with huge amounts of raita etc left over 2) Have half size portions on vegetarian dishes so people can order them as 'sides' to accompany their main meat dish and have more variety.

      We have been dining at Bala Da Dhaba at both Ripponlea and Glen Iris for about 8 years and drive for miles just to eat here! The food is the best Indian in Melbourne bar none.....we have tried many others over the years but nothing comes close! The Malay Lamb Chops melt in your mouth and the Special Samosa Chat is delicious, nowhere else has anything close to these on their menus. We have tried many of the curries and you cant beat their Butter Chicken, Rogan Josh or the Ghost Palak. The Naan is great but usually quite full by then as the serves are generous! Sit in front of the kitchen and you can see the chefs cooking the Tandoori meats. Great staff and would highly recommend this as the Indian place to eat! A Brown Bundoora 2009

      Started out very promising with a delightful open samosa (the special chat) which was the highlight of the meal. The onion bahjis were also very delicate and flavorsome. Main courses were a little disappointing, not a great deal of texture to the dishes and certainly somewhat lacking in spice. However, the naan breads were delicious. Service was a little patchy, having to ask several times for water to be brought to the table, but otherwise the waiters were very attentive. The cutlery and utensils were very quaint and authentic which added to the charm. Despite going for an early tea, the atmosphere was lovely and we certainly thought this was good value for money. I would definitely go again.
