    Great food, good choice of drinks and friendly old fashioned service. Perfect place for casual food + drink.

    Tucked away on little Bourke St, ask a friend where it is. They may be keeping it from you.

      Hi,

      Both my wife and I visit the 'Bug' on a regular basis. On every visit the service and quality of food impresses time after time.

      I would without any doubt recommend the 'Bar Humbug' for an evening out with either friends or family for a meal, or alternatively, a nice place to visit by yourself and sit and enjoy a fine wine or beer.

      I know it sounds too good to be true, however, this unstated bar that has quite simply got it right.

      A fantastic night was enjoyed by our small group.

      Service was friendly and prompt.

      Even though the place was clearly packed to the rafters, the young waitresses managed to secure us a table and have our meals out all at a respectable time from placing orders.

      Food was delicious and well priced.

      Drinks and wine were superb and well matched by the staff. (Clonakilla Shiraz Viogner) Great to see in a Melbourne bar.

      The young barman also put on a great show for the night, looking after our table after the kitchen service. The cocktails to finish the night were delicious.

      Overall a great night out and a big tick on our map for when ever our next visit to Melbourne occurs.
