We have an exciting band playing on thursday 9-12, friday 9-12 and Saturday 9-12 called Solo Porque. Playing tunes of a unique blend of Spanish Rumba styles with Turkish melody influences. One word comes to mind when you sit and listen to these guys do their thing ... Passion.

Basque has become our 'local'. We love the basque/Spanish experience - whether during the day for some light snacks and some sangria or for dinner. The food array is broad and very flavoursome, and traditional. The garlic prawns are a must and the Spanish doughnuts with chocolate sauce are heavenly. On some occasions when the restaurant is extremely busy service can be a little slow but this is to be expected. The staff are always fun and lively. Wine selection could be broader but the wines offered are a good representation of the basque region.   (addley - See my reviews (2) - August, 2009)

The two tapas dishes of Fried Potato and Octopus were acceptable, however the Paeilla (which should be their signature dish) was gluggy and tasteless. Waste of time and money, don't go.   (Benno - July, 2009)

great little surprise, even though it was very busy waiters were very friendly, gave their suggestions and knew about the food and local spanish beers. food was unexpectedly tasty, we had a tasting plate of 10 servings and they looked normal but they were surprisingly very tasty.

great night, we would definitely go again.   (See my reviews (2) - February, 2009)

Consistently chipper service with bustling Spanish-like atmosphere, just like a real tapas bar in Madrid or Seville or Barcelona - without the smokers! Have been several times over the past three years - thrice for dinner and once for an afternoon session, the most recent time being early December 08 for dinner during which it did appear service had slipped ever so slightly although it was extremely busy. Highlights - garlic prawns, pickled mushrooms, churros with chocolate dipping sauce We will be there again soon!   (addley - See my reviews (2) - January, 2009)
