We went out for dinner a few weeks back, my partner and I.

We decided to try somewhere new as we always go to Benitos.

Anyhow, after our meals we ended up saying "we should have gone to Benitos"

No one will ever top your Porterhouse Steak and how silly of us to go elsewhere. Lesson Learnt.

We were in last night and the food was PERFECT!

Tonights dinner was disappointing. Service was slow & disorganized, drinks ordered were forgotten and steaks overdone. Our waitress was unacceptably rude. We are repeat customers, but after tonight, will not return.   (Jo House - October, 2012)

Benito's was recommended by several Peninsula residents as a good place to hold our School's Peninsula Reunion. I am glad they did for I found it to be a friendly, warm and very accommodating establishment. From the very first contact with Dino until the last coffee on the night I could not fault the service or the food and I look forward to going back as a private diner in the near future. I work as a financial planner and work or bidding companies are constantly taking me to lunch and dinners. No where in Melbourne has yet to compare to everything that Benitos has to offer. I had my wedding at Benitos on the 12th Feb 2012 and everything turner out Perfect. Benito's is the perfect Venue for any dining idea that you may have in mind. I recently celebrated my 60th birthday with family and friends at Benito's. My guests, including myself had a great time. Between the picturesque view and great food and service it all provided for a relaxing afternoon. The food was well presented and delicious. With all my guests travelling from north eastern and north western suburbs and interstate, the general consensus was "it was well worth the trip". Thoroughly recommend it.   (Maria - January, 2012)

My date and I went out for dinner for the first time last night & it was great! we were both very impressed with the service and the food. The atmosphere was very upbeat we even had a guy come play a song for us with his guitar at our table. the night couldn’t have been any better in my opinion – Thanks Benito’s   (December, 2011)

Soooo disapointed with service 2 weeks ago. We had to ask for our food oder to be taken as no one came near us. 3 drinks each ordered...had to call the one female waiter working, over each time.Service has definately gone out the door here, employ more staff asap. Michael runs around constantly...another couple also on the same night were clearly not impressed. We used to go regularly to Benitos but the service has gotten worse each time now, that is it for us! Food fine, service terrible.   (jonte - December, 2011)

After attending my daughters wedding i can not not express enough on the service and value we got, The food was excellent, and the size of the sevings was fantastic. After 11 months of planing my daughter wedding the day was finally here, all i wanted was here to have her special day ,and thats what benitos gave here ,when we arrived the staff was so amazing i would highley recomend to go and see dino and his staff, you will surely be treated as part of the family just like we were, a big thank you to every one down at benitos a job well done and we will surely be back (the slivarich family november 2011)   (November, 2011)

We had our dream wedding at Benito's. The food was delicious & perfectly presented. the owner & staff made sure that all our needs were met so that we could add our personal touches. Nothing was too much trouble & their attention to detail was greatfully appreciated. They tailor made a menu to suit our tastes and always very approachable & keen to help. Guests at my wedding have since booked their own weddings at Benitos as they were so impressed.

i went to benitos for my brothers birthday, and cannot speak higher of it, those who are complaining of it sound like they are just trying to act like hot shot restaurant goers, i doubt you actually have any experience in the hospitality business, i will be back again! keep up the good work, ignore the grumps! thank you!   (July, 2011)

I am a restaurant reviewer and I have been to this restaurant many times now. Of course you will strike a 'new staffer'...this is the name of the game. Even at 5 star and silver service, sometimes there will be a small mistake. More times I have found the general public to expect way too much from their waiters. I would say to anyone going to any restaurant...'be fair and don't think you are the only person in the restaurant. If you are way to picky and don't understand the restaurant business at all, then go to MacDonalds. You'll be served in two minutes flat. If you want good food...you may have to wait past your bottle of water. Diners...be reasonable. You try keeping the hours and work as hard and still have a smile on you face. I love Benito's because when you combine quality of food, ambience and friendly service and you are a reasonable human being, you will go back and back as I have. Nobody is perfect...least of all the critical selfish customer.   (April, 2011)

recently attended for a birthday party. we were told to order our meal & drinks at the bar which we did. oh no change of mind table ordering was on the go. people who ordered after us were served their meals. where our entree nowhere to be seen. asked again will be 5 mins. half hour later entree came out. main meal must have got lost as well, in the meantime all the other people ( bar 2 people ) served and eaten. the table was getting cleared away while we were still waiting along with the other couple. oh after the meal was finally served we were offered 2 complimentary drinks but we were a party of five plus 2 other people that had to wait a long time for their meals. okay the meal was half eaten then the bill arrived . wat a shock we had to pay for a complimentary drink $ 6:50 i had added up the meal total plus drinks yep you guessed it OVERCHARGE of $$ 22:00 plus the complimentary drink. never again would i return

I was the boyfriend!! That was our second visit, and the meat is amazing, thick and juicy, melts in your mouth!!

We were there for 2 1/2 hours and were not rushed in any way! Service is friendly and not in your face at all.

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend on a romantic night where we could spend the night with great food, ambience and service and Benitos was the only place I could think of that I knew could provide what I wanted.

Yet again, you provided a great night for the both of us. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were greeted with great friendly service, the food was great and dessert was to die for!

Thank you for making last night possible. We definitely love being at Benitos where we can always count on get great food and service without the feeling of being rushed out the front door once we were done.

Look forward to dining at Benitos again in the near future.

Benitos might be great for a family meal but I had a bad experience for our wedding reception with not enough food being available for our guests, limited service during the reception, two wedding functions in the one area which was extremely overcrowded, and our wedding cake was served on serviettes without the promised side of fruit. I have been to Benito's twice one for a 50th birthday party and also our Christmas break up.

Food, service, atmosphere every thing about it was outstanding the Food!!! is top of the class. I will certainly be introducing friends to your restaurant. I am taking friends there this week for dinner who have come down from Sydney. Keep up the great standard. Margie.   (December, 2009)

Just enjoyed a very relaxing Sunday lunch at this suprb venue. The best rib eye fillet I have tasted in Victoria possibly Australia. (Cav's onthe Gold Coast would be the only other contender)nd Recommend this place to all.

I have now been to Benito's on 3 occasions and have been impressed with this restaurant every time. The steaks were outstanding and quantity has never been an issue. I have been to a number of restaurants where they have told me that the steaks are large - this time they meant it! Absolutely fantastic!!. I am a mother of three and we all know how difficult it is to take the kids to a nice restaurant where all of them enjoy the time and let "us" parents, rest. Finally i found Benito's , now the kids beg me and my husband to take them back.

The amazing family atmosphere was complimented with great service, tastiest meal on the Peninsula and how special did my 90 year old mother feel when the waiter walked her to the car!!!
