We had a wonderful time for our family Christmas get together!! Food was varied and very tasty - whether hot or cold, service was attentive /excellent and the champagne was wonderful! View was gorgeous - going on to dusk was the perfect time to go and i think our table was the best position to enjoy the panorama. Sunday buffet that was below par. Disappointing as we wanted a special experience for my mum's 60th. Restaurant was extremely noisy, plates were dirty (clearly thei dishwasher was on the blink) and the food was terrible (even the local RSL could muster better food) - and all for $45. Felt ripped off. would not recommend this to anyone. On top of it, staff seemed stressed and were not attentive - which we needed as we had my 18 month old son with us. What a fantastic way to spend a sunlit early spring lunch hour (Sept 20, 2008)! The food was superb, especially the deep-fried calamari and the barramundi in coconut sauce! Excellent service was provided by an amiable young fellow named Nick, who was there smiling and ready to assist whenever required! Even my 3-year old grandson was impressed - he munched on the freshly-cooked bread with such gusto that we had to restrain him! Ambience? - what can be better than savouring fresh oysters whilst viewing the kayaks and the boats?   (ED - September, 2008)

In all honesty much prefer the cafe downstairs. If you can eat $45 worth of prawns per person then this is great! Cooked food very basic, greasy and salads limp.   (pete - See my reviews (2) - August, 2008)
