Had a very ordinary experience, I am not a fan of lamb mince on a morrocan lamb pizza, it had a horrible after taste, I cannot understand why this restaurant is so busy, would not go there again.

Waited 2hrs for 3 pizzas for the whole family. Hoping to be in and out so we could go to Moomba. Ended up getting the kids all irate for 2 hrs and didn't see a thing at Moomba coz got our meals at 9.45pm. Kids all wanted to go home to bed. A treat on the way back to the car a nice ice cream for everyone at Crown. The best part of the night.   (Michael - March, 2011)

A great night, Waiter bought 1 meal out a little late, but a minor issue, in a great restaurant.   (Ripper - July, 2008)

I travel to Southbank about 6 times per year for work and I nearly always pay the Blue Train a visit. I find this restaurant a bit less formal and better value for money than some of the other restaurants available at the Southbank complex. It's often very busy but you can usually get a seat very quickly. The service is also fast so drinks and food come out quickly and the staff are great. I love their Pizza's and they have a great wine list but there food menu is more extensive than just Pizza. The only real downside to the Blue Train is it's popularity. It gets very noisy when it's full of people which is most nights after about 8:00pm. Get there about 5 or 6pm and you should be fine. Also, beware of any venue at Southbank on new years eve. Book in advance, and get there really early or face long queues.   (Bob - See my reviews (3) - January, 2008)

Food was ok, and the loaction was handy, but loud and not great   (Jo - See my reviews (3) - December, 2007)

After waiting some time for a table, we were shown to our seats just opposite the doors to the toilets. There were many empty tables around us, most of which had not been cleared. It took some time before someone actually acknowledged us and took an order. The food was poor, 3 of the 4 of us leaving most of our meal. We actually considered desert however the bill was thrown at us before we even had a chance to look at a menu. Staff were rude and badly dressed.   (New2Melbourne - July, 2007)
