There was no-one to welcome us on arrival. When someone finally came we were told they needed to 'set up' our table. This was despite having a booking and the restaurant being empty.

At night time it lacks the ambience you would expect from an establishment where a meal for 4 is only just under $400.

We were cold, the only lighting was a spotlight on the wall next to us! No candles etc.

The staff were amateur (International college of Tourism students down the road?) and inattentive, our meals did not arrive at the same time and we waited 40 mins for our dessert and coffee (despite the place being empty).

All in all a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning. Oh, and did we mention the food? It was OK but all the other elements let it down.   (Nicola - September, 2010)

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here Thursday 3.6.10. The food was excellent (new menu)...the best I've had! The service was very good, friendly and courteous. The food presentation was great and the location amazing! Would love to come back!   (Jean - June, 2010)

I went with a friend for lunch and although the location is amazing we were really disappointed with the slow service and average food. I had to leave our table three times to request service from the waiting staff, and my main course was missing the sauce. Really disappointed... what a shame, it could be an amazing place.   (Carrie - May, 2010)

My partner and I went on Sunday for our anniversary. I'm sorry to report that the Wagyu beef was not at all tasty, we found a piece of plastic in the Opera Gateau, there were two errors on the bill (inc. a bottle of wine charged when we only ordered a glass) and we were slugged with a 10% surcharge on top of everything just because it was a Sunday! Oh, and we weren't comped for the dessert with the plastic found inside either. :( Quite disappointing.   (Disappointing - December, 2009)
