We weren't met by a friendly greeting when we entered the restaurant as there was no one to meet us, so my partner and I sat down and waited for service. A couple of minutes later we were being ushered to move as we had no reservation, which we obliged to but then were motioned back to sit down where we were. This staff member did not seemingly ask any other patron that entered the restaurant after us, whether or not they had a reservation, but instead was happy to seat them and take their drink orders straight away. We waited 10 minutes for menus after the only attentive staff member, the bartender, saw us trying to get attention of one of the waiters. This was on a public holiday and not a busy lunch day either. We eventually got to order 15 minutes after sitting down and our pretty standard food arrived after 25 minutes.

I was incredibly disappointed by the seemingly discriminatory and lack lustre 'service' at this restaurant. I hope other patrons do not experience such poor service for such mediocre fare.   (Liz - See my reviews (4) - June, 2010)

Flew in from Longreach - not a lot of time - ducked over to Conti and had the nicest meal with loads of FANTASTIC service from very friendly staff who simply couldn't do enough for us. It was great and very relaxing. Will be back at any given opportunity.   (Tracey LOWE - October, 2009)

We had a reunion of family members who hadn.t seen each other for nearly 15 years. There was lots of chat and laughter We felt most at ease and everyone enjoyed their luncheon experience.I definitely.will be back.Meals were well prepared and very tasty.   (Janet Obst - March, 2009)

My husband and I really enjoyed our meals at Conti Cafe. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the service was friendly and efficient.

I had the pork in maple syrup and I definitely would order this again. He was equally pleased with his seafood risotto. Cafe Conti is a great night out for couples and for groups that doesn' break the budget.   (livelife - November, 2008)

I think vegetables are part of a meal, not an extra. It irks me when they have to be ordered as an extra, as they did here. Otherwise the food was tasty, creme brulee was delicious and service was good. Have to ask for key to use toilets, which are not in the restuarant.   (Cafe Conti - December, 2007)
