Horrible experiance. My warm chicken salad was cold, the other people I was dinning with had over cooked and bland chicken and meat. Service was terrible!! girls forgetting what table meals belonged to. One main came out 10mins after everyone started eating. So noisy that the waitress couldnt hear us and we couldnt hear each other. Food portions were fair but considering the price of the meals I wouldnt say that they were 'value'. I wouldnt go back EVER   (elle - May, 2012)

One my second visit to this cafe, I was expecting amazing service (as my first visit was outstanding).

But I didnt get what I bargained for. The service was poor from the minute we walked in to the moment we walked out.

A guest of ours was already in the cafe so she was seated at the table we reserved. When the rest of us walked in NO ONE attended to us to show us where our table was. So that left us looking around to find the table. Luckily our guest that was already at the table got up and found us.

We sat down, no menu's were brought to our table. I personally had to get up and ask the waitress. She then came back with three menu's (we had 6 guests - so we were forced to overlook each others).

We were asked for drink orders. But were never asked again throughout the night. We had to ask numerous times, My partner ordered a round of drinks, but never got them. The waiter had "forgotten" . I ordered a glass of wine, the waitress came back with it and literally shoved it in my face, rather then placing it appropriately on the table in front of me.

We ordered our meals. The first lot that came out took well over an hour. Three of us (including me) still hadnt got a meals 15 minutes later. Two of us got ours, but I was still waiting. I patiently contiuned to wait. Our guests and myself kept asking where my meal was. And the wait staff kept replying "its coming, its coming" - no professionalism at all. ... and the meal never came. So the owner had to come out to see me to "explain". There was no sincere apology. He didn’t offer anything to apologise for his staff's stuff up. He just kept blaming "the waitress" and "she'll pay for it". Not sure what this meant but that was no way for a business owner to act. You don’t go around blaming your staff in front of your customers. As a business owner you take responsibility for your staff's actions. What’s their mistake is yours.

So, my meal came out 10 minutes after that. I never understood what actually happened, where the stuff up was.

I was forced to eat alone, because everyone had finished their meals by then. As a rule of hospitality, all meals should be brought out at the same time. No 10/15 minute gaps between them, or in my case not at all.

I have no problem saying that the food was great. But the service for the night just put me off, and that sealed my view of this cafe.

Eventually, they offered me a free glass of wine. But by this point it was clearly too late. This should have been said from the beginning of the stuff up .. not the end when I was already pretty angry about it. The owner should have offered something when he came out.

We refused to pay for my meal in the end, even though it was a great dish, the formality in which it was brought out was not good enough.

I doubt that I will be going back anytime soon. And I wouldnt recommend going there to anyone who expects good service - you wont get it here.

We had a table for 20 booked and when we arrived we had been split into two tables making conversation with half the group impossible. Ordering was a nightmare, an entree was missed even after enquiring about it twice and we were charged a drink that was not even ordered.

The food itself was nice but the service was quite awful, maybe a nice place to go as a couple or group of 4?   (JC - See my reviews (3) - December, 2008)

Meals were nice but not delivered all at the same time. Some people had almost finished before other meals had arrived. A couple of free drinks were given as a result. We ordered 4 different bottles of wine before they had one in stock. It was also very noisy in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful.   (October, 2008)

I really enjoyed the food there as well as my family and friends. We'll definitely be back again. Does get a little cramped on busy friday/saturday nights - obviously popular.   (Ariana - December, 2007)

The food was excellent and came promptly. Given how popular the place was I was very surprised. Portions were generous without sacrificing on quality. Great service with the movie theatre just around the corner. I loved it. I highly reccomend giving the dessert pizzas a try.   (fellini - August, 2007)
