Cafe Terroni is an authentic Southern Italian style cafe/restaurant in the heart of Yarraville Village, just four doors from the iconic Sun theatre offering rustic food, great coffee and unique local and Italian wines at affordable prices.

The menu is mostly uncomplicated - using fresh seasonal produce maintaining the simple processes and cuisine of the Southern Italian kitchen. The menu reflects a resurrection of some old recipes from regional towns whilst also offering some favourites. From the specialty home made gnocchi, to the signature pesce alla griglia which consists of a selection of fresh seafood selected daily grilled in the traditional southern Italian way. For sweetooths, the tiramisu is famous and daily specials are their forte. There is something for everyone at Cafe Terroni.

Great food, service & location. Almost right next door to the Sun Theatre and a lovely place to go for a meal before seeing a movie. The Seafood meals were excellent.

Myself and my partner visited "Cafe" Terroni for a coffee and a desert today. The downstairs was full so we were directed upstairs (which happened to have 80% of tables free). We politely asked the waiter (who happened to be very polite) if it was okay to just have coffee and a desert, as we had just ate. He politely told us that everything was fine and took our order. Once we went down to pay at the counter, we were astonished by the rude and disgusting attitude of who seems to be, the manager (and or owner?). The older man was having trouble finding our table on the computer and asked us what we ordered, when we told him, he snarled "you come to a restaurant just to have coffee?" and rolled his eyes.

Neither myself nor my partner will be returning to this "restaurant" that is ironically labeled as a cafe.

If you enjoy menus in Italian, a rude (ungrateful) owner/manager that doesn't have the decency of common courtesy when addressing you and vile coffee, by all means visit Cafe Terroni!   (January, 2013)

As an Italian and someone who has lived in Italy let me at first say that one should never call a restaurant "Italian". Food can become foreign just by crossing the street. Cafe Terroni is Southern Italian and provides fair from that region. And it does it very well. The food is authentic the wines are well researched and the service is friendly and efficient. i commend it to you

As a local Yarravillean, I can thoroughly recommend this new, great addition to Yarraville. I've eaten there twice, and had different meals each time - all of which have been delicious. Good, friendly service - staff happily acccomodated the whims of our fussy 7 year old on our 2nd visit - and a nice ambience - espeically upstairs. It's not cutting edge by any means, but good quality, fresh modern Italian.   (ab66 - February, 2009)

What a great restaurant. Simple home style Italian food cooked to perfection, the service spot on and the prices very reasonable, we will definitely be back soon   (Yarraville Local - February, 2009)

This is average italian cuisine with nothing special on the menu. Service was good but we felt like we were being fed very quickly with litle time between entre & main. It is cheap, however, as a local, I did expect more from the menu. We were especially disappointed with the dessert.   (P & K - See my reviews (3) - February, 2009)

Amazing, the place was packed but we were treated like the only customers there, The food was fantastic, the mixed grill seafood main was unbelievable value, just under $30 for calamari, swordfish steak, salmon, prawns salad and potatoes on the side- what value! The Italian beers on offer were a fun way to complete the Italian experience, and the Tiramisu- the best I have ever had! The cannoli was also magnificent... can't wait to go back!   (cally - January, 2009)

Food was delicious, (calamari, muscles and tiramisu highly reccomended) good service and friendly staff.

Will be back again - so much more of the menu I want to try....   (L & J - December, 2008)
