  We dined at Carlo's on Saturday evening, 4 April. The restaurant is quaint, it has a very extensive menu and the food was excellent. The service was exemplary and provided with a smile. A very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant.

  ate there on Friday night never again very over priced for the food you get which is very average.

  Dessert was inedible with a big black hair cooked into my crumble no wait staff bothered to ask why i had barely touched my desert perhaps they already knew the answer

  “Carlo’s Place” located at the top of Longueville Road in Lane Cove is a great place for really good food. The place is run by a jolly and jovial Italian named Carlo who is also the Master Chef and is ably assisted by his wife Sonia. Great food, lovely ambience, small place but has a very homely feel to it, allround good experience. the swordfish was heavenly and ask for Carlo's home made Italian icecream or chocolate biscuit pudding for dessert.   (Eshan - March, 2008)

  Carlo seeks out the best ingredients and combines them in a very Italo-Anglo fashion. The whitebait is heavenly as too is the swordfish/mahi mahi etc with canelli beans. Just keep me away from the Panetone bread and butter pudding (I'll resemble one soon).   (Pistonbroke - See my reviews (4) - September, 2007)
