Ordered carpet bag steak from the menu which is traditionally prepared with the oysters inserted into the fillet steak, however, received a smallish piece of steak covered in a thick Dianne sauce with the oysters in the shell kilpatrick style. Not what I expected. When informed the waitress of my disappointment, she advised that the menu reads CARPET BAG STYLE. Diners aT the next table also complained about the same dish. The average quality of the entree should have forewarned us of what was to come. The vegetarian risotto that my partner ordered was not up to standard as well. Rice and corn risotto was in a croquet form and tasted more like rice mixed with corn and not like real risotto. The rice was not fully cooked as well. If you like steak, try Carmody's. Maybe not promoted enough but it's right up there with the best of them. Good portions, maybe a wee bit pricey but it won't keep the real steak lover away.   (MM - See my reviews (19) - January, 2009)

The food at the restaurant was excellent. The servings are very generous, so unless you have a BIG appetite I would recommend to order only the main meal. the service and atmosphere were both very pleasant and assertive.   (See my reviews (9) - March, 2008)
