The food was good, a little samey with some of the themes, but very enjoyable. The service (in keeping with Australian tradition) really let it down - a degustation is about the whole experience. The wine serves were stingey, the wines were local but uninteresting, the waiter was slightly patronising ("Which gland is this sweetbread?" is a direct question with a simple answer, but the answer I got would have more fitted the question "what the hell is a sweetbread??") and they don't even fold your napkin when you go to the bathroom. My possessions sat on the floor, the bathroom had cheap amenities and the dining room has an empty, cobbled-together feel. I know people say "it's Adelaide" like that's some kind of excuse but either restaurants need to lift their game or we need to admit we're playing in the minor league.   (Emma - See my reviews (3) - March, 2012)
