The food is so old fashioned in content, presentation and taste. It's a bit like a time warp - not in a good way. Having ploughed through two dreadful first courses I thought I could at least redeem my peeved palate with some delicious french cheese. Not a chance. The waxy leathery straight from the fridge slices of brie and cheddar were clearly bought in the local supermarket. Avoid Avoid Avoid. It's all wrong. Chez Maurice et Linda is definitely all about the food. Amazing chef and exceptional delicious food. The decor is a bit old .... but to me just re-inforces the fact that is indeed all about the food. The value of the menu is also excellent - the price for what you enjoy for dinner is very, very good.   (Ian - January, 2010)

Authentic French food, excellent service and very modest prices. The menu is a fixed price menu, its BYO, and the food is exceptional. Only make sure you book as the restaurant is full basically every night. An absolute must for anyone who enjoys great food.   (Taipan - February, 2009)

family celebration. Niece's Birthday dinner. I haven't been before, although my niece and her boy friend are regulars, I must say the food was wonderful. I am a foodie person and are very particular about my food. we had 3 courses and it is a set menu, good value for money and the smells that fill the restaurant really get your juices going .We didn't have to wait long before we received our first course, actually the timing was very good with all the courses.
