Went here on Friday night, stuck by the smokers door and the music seemed to be getting louder and louder. Ordered calamari and prawns, both chewy and over cooked. Crispy fish & green mango salad unfortunately tasted more chilly then any other flavours. The crispy duck salad was great, very refreshing flavours. Ordered Roti Bread, never got it. Had to ask for water for the table twice.

I'm sure other times it might be nice but was not a good experience.   (housemum - March, 2011)

love love love Cookie! Terrific food and good service in a funky atmosphere. (Best not to take along those hard on hearing though as it gets very noisy). The roof top bar is the perfect place for a pre dinner drink. Ensure you book!   (plateitup - See my reviews (3) - January, 2011)

We arrived last Saturday night without a booking and they were extremely busy. Were told we could have a drink and wait which we did and it was worth the wait. Really good food, huge variety of alcohol and the diverse group of diners made the place really lively and funky. Shall be returning.   (Would Be Reviewer - See my reviews (2) - July, 2009)

What surprising little place. Great food, great atmosphere (even though its noisy) and great staff. Worth many return visits.   (I Love Food - July, 2009)

Exellent quality for the price. Fabulous dishes that you wouldn't necessarily get at your local Thai restaurant. I'm seriously thinking that Cookie this will replace Longrain as my favourite Thai food restaurant. Well done and keep up the great food. Also, your wait staff was amazingly efficient, friendly and their explanations of the dishes and how to assemble some of them was extraordinary. Well done again to the wait stuff for being there but not in our faces. My last comment, the Tapioca Dumplings ROCK!   (Food Junkie - June, 2009)

I loved Cookie, so much so that I will be going back regularly. The food is amazing, and I really recommend the Espresso Martini.   (August, 2008)

Have visited once before & took some friends along this time, they also aggreed Cookie has a layed back approach to dining, fantastic food with a busy atmosphere. Also love the approach to the restaurant up the wide quiet stairway in Customs House, great location.   (April, 2008)

Delicious Thai food would recommend the Green curry with chicken meatballs! Service was lovely and friendly and they managed to squeeze us in without a booking.   (March, 2008)

Bar staff in beer hall were disinterested at the very best, on entering the restaurant for our reservation the host was almost uncaring bordering on snobbish, our waiter however was fantastic! other staff seemed not to care   (February, 2008)

The food was overrated, but didn't have to pay for one of the dishes. Good service, got to taste different wines.   (January, 2008)

The only reason I didn't give the food at Cookie a 10 is that some of the dishes we ordered had sold out ,making the vegetarian options a bit slim for the three vegetarians in our group of 8.It was ,however a very busy pre-Christmas period. The food we had was amazing & I'll be going back soon for a more intimate meal....as this was our Staff Christmas Party. We had a great night.   (January, 2008)

the three times I have made it to cookie, I have been let dow. The first, my friend and myself waited 35 minutes to be served by some guy too busy being "fabulous" to care. We did get a winelist, however no orders were ever taken.... we left. The second, a 40 miinute wait for o.k, watered down food "thai" food and the third visit entailed a 30 minute wait (at 11.30 at night) for a very handled, Apple martini. Pretty sad for such a great looking place.....   (November, 2007)

While the food was great, the service was seriously lacking. Very impressive beer list but unfortunate that they seemed to be out of stock of so many. And to top it off the bill had $100 of extra dishes we had not ordered. After hearing great things we were disappointed.   (November, 2007)

Very good food, service and wine. A bit noisy but adds to the atmosphere. Don't go there on a first date unless your assured of getting a leg over. Try the 5 spice fried chicken excellent!   (John Strickland - See my reviews (2) - July, 2007)
