Just had my 60th Birthday there and I could not ask for better service, the staff were delightful, and could not do enough to make mine and my guests night so enjoyable. The food was beyond expectation.   (Rosemary - March, 2012)

The person who took our breakfast booking got the name wrong, and so no table when we arrived. They got tables arranged for us, and we sat and ordered. Then it took 50 minutes between ordering and food arriving. In that time nobody came and checked with us, and when we asked about the food we got a haughty "it'll be here soon - we're busy". That's OK - we won't be back I thought. And we won't.   (Coonabarra Breakfast - November, 2009)

A very disappointing lunch at his cafe. We were seated literally on the road, on a very sloping footpath. The Coonanbarra seems to consider the location opposite Wahroonga Park a bonus, yet unfortunately it's located opposite the noisy kid's playground (as well as a busy road) so any ambiance from the Park is well and truly drowned out by the screaming kids and the cars zooming past our table. The food was beyond horrible - and the PRICES! This place just seems to get more outrageously expensive as the years go by, yet with no added quality to either the food or the service. Our wait staff were all young, inexperienced and borderline rude. Our food was served barely warm (ie. cold) and once we had eaten the edible parts of our dishes we were asked how much longer we would be as they needed the table. I felt like telling the waitress to shove it. Haven't been there for years - and given this recent poor dining experience, hopefully it will be many more years before I'm dragged back. Without doubt one of the most overrated places I've ever had to put up with.   (Monique - December, 2008)

We had a delightful lunch at the Coonanbarra Cafe today -- nothing was too much trouble -- friendly and great service. $30 fro fish n chips a bit expensive but it was delicious.   (See my reviews (3) - July, 2008)

Cafe very busy, staff very pleasant and obliging, but food very disappointing. Had a family breakfast there and found food very poor. We were very disappointed in the experience.   (March, 2008)

Located opposite the beautiful park in Wahroonga adds to the dining pleasure and ambience.   (Tony - December, 2006)
