Culinarius by Monika is the Illawarra's largest catering company supplying all catering services for any number of guests at any location.
Culinarius began in 1997 under the guidance of Monika Armstrong. Upon its inception in 1997, Culinarius was a small business employing only 2 full time staff. Today, 11 years on, Culinarius is a successful company providing employment to 5 full time staff and approximately 20 individuals all of varying origins, tastes and hospitality skills. The dedicated team at Culinarius take care of all individual needs, no matter what the request. Careful attention is always given to health, hygiene and nutrition as well as occupational health and safety.
No function is too large or small for the team at Culinarius, nor too diverse. Some of our recent challenges have included no electricity or water on site, tiny kitchens, wacky themes and special religious and dietary needs. It’s these special requests that set Culinarius apart as the premier caterer in the Illawarra able to provide exquisite food and impeccable service under any circumstance.
Culinarius provides healthy, well-presented, delicious and high quality food and service. We are aware of the needs of many of our clients providing whatever it takes to make every special event are as easy as possible on the client. The team at Culinarius also have a thorough understanding of dietary and religious needs, a necessity in the multicultural region that is the Illawarra.
When dignitaries, politicians, athletes, celebrities and ambassadors visit the Illawarra it is usually Culinarius who is given the responsibility of providing great food and service to showcase the region. Culinarius by Monika has taken care of Sheikhs from Dubai, the opening of headquarters for multinational companies and hosted Olympic athletes to name a few.
Culinarius can provide a full event management service and can arrange everything for our clients from hire of a marquee and catering equipment, decorations, audio visual requirements as well as professional and dedicated staff to serve food and beverages. We also have a Caterers Liquor Licence so can provide alcohol and beverages for our customers events.
Culinarius by Monika is accessible to the community with a door to door delivery service from its commercial kitchen in the heart of the Illawarra to any venue in our specially insulated van.
Culinarius success and contribution have been acknowledged with many awards including more than 15 Restaurant and Catering Awards, last year winning Corporate and Event Caterer as well as Caterer of the Year for the South Coast and Illawarra. In 2004 Culinarius was awarded the ultimate honour of Illawarra Business of The Year.
