    I have been ordering from this restaurant for the last seven years since they were a little takeaway and now a large restaurant I speak with the owners often who recognise me by name and their food and service have always been consistent I have read the last two reviews and feel that perhaps as their business has grown so quickly over this period perhaps soimetimes people feel they are not giving the service they expect but I can certianly advise these people to try it again as the food and the service here has been consistently better than any other Indian restaurant in the area.The curries and entrees are always fresh and authentic flavors and the service has always been helpful

    Since I have tried Curry Leaf I have stopped ordering from any other Indian restaurant in the area

    A poor experience- won't be going back!

    Estimated time was 1 hour, when I arrived to pick it up they said they were about to call us as it had been sitting there for ages.

    Got home to realise we had been given the wrong order. The correct order was then delivered within 15minutes, but the food was very average.

    A plain, tasteless butter chicken & soggy naan breads.

    We purchased a voucher that promised our choice of two entrees, two mains and two glasses of wine. When we called for reservations, we were told that the restaurant was fully booked until 8:30 pm, unless we got there at 5 pm instead. So we arrived at 5 pm, and noticed that not one other table was occupied by the time we departed at 5:45 pm. The waitress apologized immediately upon seating us and accepting the voucher, because she said there have been misunderstandings between the restaurant and the voucher issuers. She said we were not entitled to choose two entrees at all--rather we had to share two stale pappadums with two tiny dips. No choice of entree and no second entree would be allowed under the voucher. And for the mains, any special dish or lamb shanks or fish dish would incur an extra charge. We ordered chicken tikka masala and a paneer dish--both were small but tasty. The naan bread was undercooked and doughy. Normally I love naan, but this was inedible. I wouldn't trust ordering take-away from them after this experience.   (See my reviews (3) - March, 2012)

    This was the first time I ordered from the Curry Leaf, and it will be the last.

    Every part of the experience was a disappointment.

    Ordering.......

    After placing my order via Menu Log I received the confirmation text informing me that the estimated delivery time would be 60 mins, which I think is a long time. Especially considering we had chosen a set meal.

    The cost..........

    The price for the set meal seemed reasonable, especially as the restaurant was offering 10% off a first order (which ours was).

    However the discount was not applied when I placed the order on menu log, so I chose to pay upon delivery and added a personal message to the restaurant explaining the situation. I assumed they would rectify the situation accordingly.

    The delivery........

    An hour later I received a call from the lost delivery person, so I had to go down and wait outside our apartment building and direct him to our address.

    When he finally got to me I was charged the full amount, not the discounted price.

    When I asked him about the new customer discount he said 'well you can call them if you want' and the meal probably wasn't discounted as the set meal is 'already a good price and the delivery had been free' (the delivery was free because we had spent over a certain amount?!)

    So, very hungry by this point, I paid the full amount just to get my food ASAP.

    The food........

    I am not a food critic, or an expert by far, but Being an ex pat, I have had a lot of Indian food, both from restaurants and home cooked by Indian friends.

    The food from The Curry leaf was very, very poor.

    Every single item of food, the currys, rice and naan breads and samosas were cold.

    The poppadoms were old and stale (and I daresay just the ones you can make at home yourself from the kits you can buy from chain supermarkets?!) and the dipping sauces supplied with them were unidentifiable and not nice at all.

    The veg samosas were also cold and had gone soggy.

    The currys were cold, oily and bland. And the positions size was very disappointing.

    The naan breads were also cold and very small.

    The portion of rice (meant for 2 people) was small and it was cold.

    Frankly, it ruined what was supposed to be a Saturday night treat that we had been looking forward to, which totally ruined the evening.

    As you can tell, I am very unhappy about the whole experience and will never take my business to The Curry Leaf again, and I suggest you do not either.   (Clare - February, 2012)

    HAd Delivery. Food came quickly...but food was ridiculous. 50 bucks for what was just reduced cream and some tumeric..way too much sauce for the amount of actual ingredients and absolutely no depth in flavour .The most bland, boring and over priced curries Ive had.       Although we booked the same night that there was a booking for a child's party and 15 little girls were running around, we still enjoyed ourselves. Great service, food was excellent. Only fault - restaurant only had one bathroom, and there was a wait.   (Chrisky - March, 2009)
