  • Heritage listed Waterfront Hotel with a proud history, it has been and still is a common meeting spot for locals and travellers alike. Perhaps the AWARD WINNING seafood restaurant is the attraction. Maybe its the Thirteen beers on tap, or the great live entertainment in the lively front bar. Outside dining right opposite the water! Accommodation is available, All rooms now have ensuite bathrooms.

The Seafoof Basket/Platter and the Hungarian Goulash Pie were outstanding, along with the great service! We'll eat gere again, and then some!

Disappointing second visit - Entree and cheese platter were fine but main course not cooked properly and very ordinary. Service and food not up to standard of our 2006 visit.

We had a great dining experience at the customs house hotel. the restaurant had a wonderful feel, showing off some of Tasmania's best and freshest seafood. The convict stone walls added to the ambience. we stayed in the 3.5 star accommodation and the breakfast, included in the cost was fantastic with the friendly staff only adding to the experience.

Food was excellent but pricey. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the service of staff due to being charged incorrectly for drinks and wrong desert being served - hence, the service needs to be improved. Apart from that I recommend the food.
