I would not recommend any one go to this restaurant. When we arrived it seemed nice enough apart from it being cold inside, we sat down and were given the menu's and ordered or entrée came out and was smothered in some kind of chutney like substance which completely overpowered the dish, and left an unsavory taste in your mouth. Next our mains took over an hour to be brought to us and other parties whom arrived later than us were served first. Our main finally turned up, as well as looking unappetizing the lamb dish was overpowered by a salty taste which spoiled the entire dish. Over all poor service bad food and terrible mango lassies.

I would not recommend anyone go to this place until they pick up there act and learn to cook.   (June, 2009)

Very pleasant this time, as not too many people so the noise levels were tolerable. This was my only complaint last time we ate there. Excellent food and ambience, plus the service were very good. Would definitely recommend, but not Friday or Saturday nights, just too noisy!   (March, 2007)

I had heard about the food and wasn't disappointed. We were let down by the service. The waiters were rude and couldn't be bothered. The waitress was good. We had to ask for menus, wine lists and water. The TV screens aren't necessary.   (John - February, 2007)

We have been going to Darbar for more than 18months - the food is consistently very good. Service at lunch time can be challenging as the chef is also the waiter! On a crowded evening, the ambience and service is very good. Good value for money and a different 'Indian' restaurant.   (roulette - September, 2006)
