Most importantly we are proud of the wine and food that we produce at d’Arenberg and d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant. None of this would have been possible without the bounty of this small part of South Australia, the Osborns' beloved McLaren Vale.

d’Arenberg has become a famous name in Australian wine by being strikingly individual. In fact, since its beginnings the winery has managed to turn individuality into an art form by doing a whole lot of little things differently.

Menu is Very dated, our mains came out before we had finished our entrees. the Wild Bore was over cooked and dry, Service not bad but a little Rude and blunt. Little John   (john - See my reviews (2) - May, 2008)

"The view over vineyards rolling towards the sea is breath-taking...It makes a big difference knowing you are serving fantastic food to happy diners. I hope they get big tips. This was simply one of the best meals I have had. Ever."

John McGrath, The Adelaide Review - April 2008
"Wrapped around the original d'Arenberg cottage, every table in this soulful country restaurant gazes out across the panorama of vineyards and eucalypts..."

Anthea Loucas, Gourmet Traveller 2008 Australian Restaurant Guide - November 2007
"Attached to one of McLaren Vale's best cellar doors, D'Arry's has views across valley vineyards to a range of mesmerising patchwork hills that put you in a wine-country mood very quickly. Do yourself a favour, stay over locally and order a cab."

Anthea Loucas, Gourmet Traveller 2007 Australian Restaurant Guide - October 2006
"The mood is relaxed and mature. The wine list consists of current d’Arenberg vintages at good bottle and glass prices..."

N/A, The Advertiser - July 2006
"Warmed in winter by an open fire, it's a good place to start your meal, tasting from the long list of d'Arenberg wines you might choose to accompany your lunch. If the dining space is a little chilly in winter, it's the warmer for friendly service and assured cooking."

Anthea Lucas, Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide - January 2006
"d'Arry's Verandah has once more become destination dining. Clever dishes such as wok-fried duck egg with lup chong sausage and grilled asparagus and dukkah-crumbed lamb brains with baby capers, preserved lemon and cucumber sala compete for your entree choice while Normanville lamb loin with spiced cocoas pearls and eggplant cream or roasted suckling pig with marmalade, fennel bulb and blood orange salad are both main palate pleasers."

Elisabeth King, Winetaste Magazine - March 2005
