Dedes Restaurant, Sydney Rowing Club

  Navigating the young girl at the Club's reception desk proved almost impossible. We were at the point of instructing her to advise your restaurant we would not be able to meet our booking. Thankfully a club member signing in at the time offered a solution the receptionist could not. This experience soured what would otherwise have been a great lunch and one we would have recommended to friends and family. Instead out of principle we would not ever entertain joining this club which apparently the receptionist tells us that this means we can no longer dine at Dedes.   (baileypus - August, 2011)

  Very, very noisy. Good view, had tables by the window. Food pretty good. Have had better elsewhere. Waiters slopped drink all over table when pouring into glasses. Otherwise service was reasonable. Will probably go again, but not for lunch on Sunday.   (March, 2008)

  Food was delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't seem to mind that we had a 3 yr old and a 7 mth old with us. It was a double birthday lunch for two gentlemen in the party so a special day. But, the service was so slow. One poor food waiter for the whole restaurant. Very efficient chap, not his fault at all.   (February, 2008)

  We enjoyed the total experience! Our waiters were attentive, friendly and prompt in their respectful service. The food was first class and we didn't have to wait an age. The size of the food servings was just right and the presentation enticed one to enjoy eating! At the end of the meal, we were not hurried away, even though the restaurant was busy. A great experience all round! We will return!   (January, 2008)

  Would like the dishes to be authentic. If the chef likes to play around with food, thats ok. But don't put old titles on the food. E.g.: greek salad: needs capsicum + spring onions, anchovies are not essential. Your wine selection is excellent.   (margaret pitt - June, 2007)
