      This place is always busy & have tried their coffee which is excellent so gave it a go for lunch. My zucchini slice was a big disappointment & the accompanying aparagus should have been thown away days ago, it was stale & stringy.       In tough times DT has gone to a sensible formula to keep its high patronage at a peak. Stable prices. Better portions per dollar. Friendlier staff with a positive attitude even if a few tired regular faces were swept aside. Had breakfast this trip and stayed for three hours reading and enjoying the best coffee flavours in Toronto.   (Keith Nicholls - See my reviews (74) - August, 2009)

      hmmm, interesting comments left here...not my experience at all. Simply put...we (a regular group of middle-aged motorcycle enthusiasts) have made Double Take a regular stop on our weekly runs, 'cos the food is nothing short of sensational. Service is invariably personable and efficient without being unctuous. And the coffee…? Ohmidgod the coffee!! The new premises are big improvement on the old cramped Double Take, with faster service and a more comfortable dining experience. I can’t help but notice that it’s always busy, and this would indicate that I’m not a hopeless fanboy spruiking the joint. If volume is ya thing, maybe Macca’s is the go, or some fried food joint. - Go you good thing Doublers!!   (August, 2008)

      I am a regular at Doubletake and unlike M.K. have found the service and food to be great.As far as value goes my own grocery bill has rocketed in the last year so I guess cafes are in the same boat.He is right about the coffee though...WOW...still the best in town.Cant beat a Saturday morning with the paper and a great coffee at Doubletake Cafe   (July, 2008)
