El Torro Steakhouse

We made a booking for 7 pm. We ordered drinks and food at 7:03 pm. Drinks came at 7:30 pm and then the food at 7:50 pm. I ordered a fillet steak, but what I got looked like chuck steak. It was not seasoned at all and was overcooked and cold. The meal was supposed to come with chips and mushrooms. What I got was one small mushroom (cold) and entire 6 chips (how generous)! Took me all 3 minutes to eat it after waiting for 50 minutes. Definitely not worth $22. My partner has Cesar Salad which was $14 and was not bad. Although the chicken in it looked like McDonalds chicken nuggets. Also there was no desserts to choose from. The atmosphere of the place was nice but still the food and service have a long way to go. Looks like this restaurant has been sold recently and the new owners are quite inexperienced. They reduced the previous menu down to pretty much nothing. Needless to say this was the last time I will go to this restaurant.   (Mr.Grumpy - February, 2007)
