As a lover of good coffee, I am a regular at Elies, the coffee is consistently well made which is why I go back - day after day - you always know what you are going to get. The staff are always warm and welcoming and very accomodating. A very enjoyable place to meet!   (Marie - May, 2011)

On a Saturday morning the service i received was '...we are busy and dont have room for prams at the moment', when asking for a table, too bad if i was in a wheelchair! Bathurst is not family/pram or wheelchair friendly at all.   (puggylovin - December, 2010)

The service is quite good and the atmosphere ok especially when you can evade the 1000 cyclists on a weekend morning. Coffee is inconsistent someday good somedays burn't. The food is probably overpriced and a lttle old fashioned and tacky. Overall it is of average quality in the scheme of country cafe's i have visited.   (Don't know what all the hype is about? - July, 2010)

Whilst visiting family in Bathurst, we had a meal at Elie's cafe. As a regular traveller for both work and holidays, i have eaten in quite a lot of cafe's in regional NSW. I can honestly say that it was the finest Egg's Benidict i have had in a long time. To top it off, the service was great and the coffee was terrific.   (Rowley - August, 2009)

I went here twice in one week, the first time was so impressive I went again the next day - I wish I hadn't as I know now that I will never go back. The service was terrible and the food was cooked the opposite to how I asked it to be done. I'll be sure to discourage others from the disappointment of eating here from now on   (Jewel - August, 2009)

On a day trip out from the mountains, I had a lovely date with my boyfriend at Ellie's. The food was beautiful, service great and combined with the beauty of Bathurst as a town it was a lovely place to eat.   (Cheryl - April, 2009)
