    I absolutely *love* this restaurant; the food and service is amazing and I always enjoy having a brief chat with the owners at the end of the meal. Best Ethiopian ever, I wish I could learn to cook...

      We very much enjoyed the opportunity to experience the tasting plate, which was a welcome alternative for 2 people to the much larger banquet on offer. Staff were very helpful, friendly and discrete. Pleased to see no corkage cost - this is rare in Canberra. A nice evening out and something a bit different.   (See my reviews (4) - July, 2008)

    Yayesh Giday - Trained in Ethiopia, Yayesh has many years experience in the preparation of traditional Ethiopian food in both Ethiopia and since 1998 in Australia. Widely recognised as the main force behind Ethiopia Down Under's 2006 winning of a restaurant industry award, Yayesh is not only chef bur also part owner of this intimate family owned restaurant.
