We had a big group - about 30 people who came down from the city to have a bit of a tour of the area. Driving along the coast, we decided to stop by at this restaurant. So we worked out a deal with the waiter, that we would get seafood platter and chips for everyone at $15-20 per person, and expected it to be decent. However when the platters came out, the quantity is so scarce that each person only had one little piece of fish, one piece of calamari, and a little bowl of soggy chips to share. To our surprise we were charged $18 per person for that kind of meal. Each and everyone in our group felt this was way overcharged and was not worth $18 at all no matter how fresh the seafood was. The food wasn't even great to begin with. We tried to reason with the waiter/owner but he just looks at us blankly. This restaurant earns money by ripping off people. No wonder it's called "Fed Up" fish cafe!! Fishy business ripping people money and making them fed up!   (aadut - September, 2011)

Beautifully presented and fabulous tasting food. Service was friendly but not too casual. They seated us right near the heater which was perfect for me because I hate being cold. The food was cooked to perfection. Our compliments to the chef and the staff. Well done.   (August, 2009)

I thought it was beautiful food, wonderful service and very good prices.

I had a table of 16 so the only thing which was hard was the paying at the end, could use a better system because we ended up then paying for stuff that we didnt know what it was for.

but other then that it was wonderful and will be definitely coming back!   (shelley - August, 2008)

This Restaurant / Cafe is a gem. The food is excellent and moderately priced. A great selection of Seafood to choose from - all fresh we were told, as it tasted that way. A more than reasonable selection of wines to choose from. We had a party of 4 and we had a great long lunch. Will definitely re-visit.   (January, 2008)

Dinner booking - 25/01/08 First impression on arrival was of a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere, which in fact lasted all evening. The staff proved attentive and bubbly despite the demands of a full house. Oysters combination as entree was a delight, although I found the mornay sauce a little too thin (contrary to better half who prefers the sauce that way). Kilpatrick was delightfully spicy, and natural plump and juicy. I chose pan-fried baby snapperfor main which was exceptional, with the garlic complimenting rather than overpowering.

Wife chose baked Kingfish and Atlantic Salmon - again superb, in particular the Salmon which was melt-in-mouth moist. Desert of Apple / Rubarb crumble was slightly disappointing - filling tended to be mushy rather than soft firm. Wife's choice of fresh strawberries looked more appertising. Coffee was fresh and flavoursome. Pricing was aligned to the atmosphere - pocket friendly and unpretentious.   (January, 2008)
