Initially we were seated downstairs in the café but we weren’t asked if we wanted the café or the restaurant. Luckily my wife noticed a sign (and lucky she did) else we would have had a rude shock that they wouldn’t accept our Entertainment Book voucher. When we were seated in the supposedly posh upstairs restaurant, my wife frowned when she swept off a dust ball from the table cloth near her side plate. We were asked if we wanted water whilst perusing the menus to which we agreed not knowing that we’d be charged later for these. After the waiter placed down our cutlery, my wife showed me her small spoon which looked like it had been taken directly from a finished patron’s table the evening before; smeared in a dried up red or orange substance we couldn’t identify. When I asked for the spoon to be replaced there was no aghast reaction or remorseful apology as I would have expected in a restaurant that by its prices implies a high quality venue. The waitress simply took the spoon and said “of course, sorry about that”. The bombshell, though, dropped on our way home at around 11pm After calming down I thought to myself if we was charged around $150, that means we should have consumed around $200 worth of food and beverage There is no way we spent that much! This prompted me to do a calculation of our bill and discovered that not only did we have a very bad experience in their restaurant but we were overcharged for it as well!   (May, 2013)

This was one of the best seafood rest I have been to for a long while. The food was very fresh, servings was adquate and service was excellent.   (March, 2011)

We found the staff very attentative and pleasant. The menu was predictable however, and i wish restraunts wouldn't bretak up meals into pieces that must be paid for seperately. This made it considerable more expensive than we thought it was worth.   (paul & julia - See my reviews (2) - March, 2009)

Reasonable food for the cost and patchy service. Great in the beginnning and then a long wait for dishes to be removed. Good to have water refilled but that only happened once and right in the middle of a serious conversation. Could the waiter have picked that up? Open, light and relaxed vibe downstairs but with standard fare and ok service. Go there with those expectations and you'll be fine.   (See my reviews (2) - October, 2008)

overall meal was nice..but service was very slow considering only 2 tables were occupied at lunchtime . we had booked the restuarant upstairs (for birthday lunch) but felt we had to be seated downstairs as upstairs was totally empty.   (See my reviews (2) - September, 2008)

as usual we had an excellent lunch, staff were great and the food...well, goes without saying, exceptional. It was a pity though that there was a problem with our reservation.   (September, 2008)

Returned after a great 06/07 New Year.. sadly to be dissapointed.. No band, no background music, no festive atmosphere at all... lack of staff to cater for the patrons, and those that were there appeared very disgruntled.. one drink in first hour and a half ! thank goodness for the company of friends, left before middnight , will not be returning   (See my reviews (2) - January, 2008)

Although chef tries her best creating pleasant dishes (but not extraordinary) the waiting staff displays manners of yesterdays with insufficient attention, topping it up with a finale of 15 minutes waiting for the bill to arrive. Extra charges for the vegetables or basic salad to accompany a rather simple main dish are annoying. Will not be back...   (Akrajpol - See my reviews (3) - December, 2007)
