The Five Islands Brewing Company was established in 2001and is named after the five islands just off the coast of what is now known as Wollongong.

The Brewery consists of a 50 seat lounge area serving Modern Australian Cusine, the Sixth Island Bar where a large selection of Bar Food is available, the brewery itself and our huge outside terrace, complete with BBQ only 50 metres from the beach. Our local beers are chemical and preservative free and contain no added sugar.

"We booked online and when we arrived (a party of 4) we were shown to our reserved table, which turned out to have rather low sofa like bench seats with no backs. Not conducive to good digestion. We were told that when a table became available with seats that had backs we could move. Unfortunately our food had arrived by that time. We had lunch and it was reasonably quiet but I can imagine it.."

We booked online and when we arrived (a party of 4) we were shown to our reserved table, which turned out to have rather low sofa like bench seats with no backs. Not conducive to good digestion. We were told that when a table became available with seats that had backs we could move. Unfortunately our food had arrived by that time. We had lunch and it was reasonably quiet but I can imagine it would be incredibly noisy and crowded at night. Very much a young persons place preferably for under 30s   (See my reviews (2) - July, 2008)

Atmosphere was great. We all had a great time. The only thing I could suggest onimproving is the variety from the DJ. Otherwise fantastic.
