We now have a new balcony area, which offers alfresco dining, looking out over a 100 year old fig. Inside we offer bookings for both small to larger bookings. Please advise us if you wish to sit near a childs play area which has 5 playstation games. All our meals include a large soup, salad and vegetable bar.

waste of money
We ordered two different cuts of steak, scotch and sirloin, both were extremely tough and the sirloin was burnt in some places. Also a beef schnitzel was undercooked in some places. Most of the waiting and bar staff were lovely, however one of the hostesses was pretty rude and condescending. After this experience I won't be returning.
Food awful on this occasion - chicken mignon not cooked properly, scotch fillet overcooked and tough, chicken tenderloins overcooked and basket of chips only par cooked. Cost close to $100 not worth it. Have eaten here before and it had been great - don't know what has happened will not be back.
I am a regular diner at The Flagstaff and would commend them on their menu and prices. Very acceptable. I find this an excellent venue to meet for lunch with a friend in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The staff attention is most noteworthy. They are friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I appreciate being remembered when I arrive and small things like remembering I like to start my visit with a coffee, indicative of attention to detail, is most pleasing. Thank you Mary, for lunch on Saturday at 12 for two.
food is always excellent, service is very friendly and welcoming, but some of the prices are ridiculously high especially for a fillet mingon at $31 . It's nothing any more special than any other venues fillet mingon at a lot less cost.
The salad/vegetable/soup/dessert bar at The Flaggy used to be second to none - but it's sadly become just like all the others. The staff were very friendly and accommodating
Favourite hotel to eat at. Salad/vegie bar is outstanding. Have recommended to all my friends. Staff extremely friendly and polite - a nice change to some of the other hotels.
A great family atmosphere, great service with friendly staff, excellent value for money, we will be back!
a very enjoyable meal and friendly atmosphere
had fantastic lunch special for minimal amount which included soup hot veggie and salad bar and also the most scrumptious gourmet breads-very impressive. this place is fastly becoming my favourite eatery cheers and well done flaggie
one of the best
have been going to this establishment since 2006 and have never had a bad experience, staff friendly and service excellent in a hotel environment. meal prices are a good range and you get what you pay for.
We waited 30 mins for the vegetable bar to be stocked, gave up got our money back and left. Need to improve vastly for the money charged for meals.
Thanks for a great meals, will be back! will recommend!!!
Always a good meal at the Flagstaff
We thouroughly enjoyed our meal. Sevice and friendliness were of high standard. Just a little noisy, but we all had a great time.
The food and service couldn't be faulted, a little over-priced, and we were somewhat disappointed in not having the piano player that we had anticipated,
nice relaxed eating atmosphere
Was nice for a easy, fast meal. Although the seafood basket was very fatty .. fried way too long.
The food was very nice, especially love the chicken with bacon wrapped around it and cheese melted inside YUM! The salad and vegie bar has a great range, love the potato bake and the soups. It can get a bit busy, with every table occupied, but other than that its a great family lunch out.
Food is not as good as before.
A great evening good service good food and reasonable price. The only reason I didnt give a 10 is because there is always room for improvement no matter how good we are, my business included. Thanks again we will be back. Cheers Brian
the oysters kilpatrick where the worst i have eaten. The best part was the selection of the salad and veg bar. Over priced considering the quality of food. when i asked the waitress a question she never returned. overall very disappointing
Staff were friendly but abrupt, couldn't provide anything other than a grill steak for gluten free and the salad bar had lettuce and fruit that were gluten free the veg bar had boiled carrot and brussel sprouts so must say was disappointing. They couldn't even make a skim milk coffee as they were out of skim milk!
Always a good meal and service.
excellent, a few days before i faxed through our 9 menu choices and asked that they be served at 12.30 p.m. sharp on the day. when we arrived for our luncheon, a copy of my fax was next to the cashier, all we had to do was pay for our lunch and get a drink, by the time we sat down, our meals arrived. brilliant, well done, we will definitely come back. sharon. flinders medical centre.
This is the first time I have used Menulog and was pleasantly surprised at its efficiency. This is a good restaurant for a group, not an intimate setting but the choice was good, the quality of the food was good. Nice to have a live piano player also, a very pleasant experience
over all very good. bit slowe service at the bar tho. the girl wasnt really bothering to listen to the orders and was more interested in talking to her friend.
Very disappointed with this venue. After making 3 telephone calls to fine tune details - nothing requested was carried out. I explained the embarrassment which can be experienced when one of our group who is confined to a wheelchair gets to a prebooked table to find there is no space for his wheelchair. I particularly requested a space be left - without a chair, at one end of the table for the wheelchair to fit - this was not done. This means we have to remove the chair ourselves and place it in another area, which is often in the way of other diners. It also means other diners are aware of the move and take notice - making the wheelchair person even more self conscious at the fuss he is causing. Prices way too costly for a "pub" - Morphettville Junction or Earl of Leicester Hotel have same meals for half the prices charged at your venue. Seafood Baskets are $13 at some nearby Hotels and are crispier and nicer than the ones served at your venue for $24.50. Way too many chips served with seafood meals - no-one ate them. Presumably it takes longer to cook seafood meals, as all 5 people at our table who ordered seafood dishes, had to wait quite a lot longer than the other guests to get their meals. By the time they arrived, most of the other people at the table had finished their meat/chicken meals, so we were forced to eat in relays. $31.50 for fillet mignon is a ridiculous price to pay - at any pub! No-one minds meals costing this amount, as long as you get service and high standard food. When you have to go to the bar yourself to purchase drinks and have no table service whatsoever - prices should be considerably less. The Smorgasbord style hot vegetables/soup/bread and salad bar was quite adequate, but several dishes were empty when I went to get my selection. These were not replaced until well after I had eaten most of my meal. These were the mixed vegetable dish and the roast mixed vegetable dish. As these are obviously popular, someone should be keeping an eye on them to ensure they are constantly replaced if necessary. When I telephoned to confirm numbers etc and requested the spare place for the wheelchair, I also stated that this booking was for a 60th birthday party - so I wanted a quiet area with plenty of room to manoevre the wheelchair. We were placed right next to the children's play area - which was extremely noisy. Children were constantly building high towers with large lego blocks and crashing them to the ground. Several of them were fighting and yelling. Can't blame them for that really, as they are only children, but I did make a specific request for a quiet area away from any such distractions. All in all we were very disappointed with this venue and we are very regular and discerning diners - as we dine out almost weekly at a variety of venues. This venue was recommended to me - but admittedly it was by an elderly couple who dine there only at lunch time and only on the senior specials. Perhaps it is suitable for their ne...
We were extremely pleased with the menu, the service, staff and the atmosphere, we will definetely be returning.
When I dined at the Flagstaff Hotel, it was very enjoyable and pleasant. The service was excellent and the food was surperb! The ambience was great and their outdoor area is very nice. I will definately be returning to the Flagstaff.
