Flathead Fish Cafe is a small neighbourhood seafood restaurant which serves traditional fish and chips as well as some delicious char-grilled and pan-fried dishes.

The menu changes regularly depending on the availability of fresh fish and other produce. Come and try our thai fish cakes wot start followed by the best flathead and chips in town, or perhaps some char-grilled octopus with a greek salad. We also have delicious desserts - rich chocolate mousse or leatherwood honey pannacotta are favourites. We also have gluten free dishes (including gluten free crumbed trevally & chips) and can cater for vegetarians.

Flathead is licenced and also BYO bottled wine only. We have a great wine list featuring some lovely Tasmanian wines and we have some interesting beers from Moorilla and the Two Metre Tall Company, as well as gluten-free beer.

Bookings are recommended.

"Flathead is the type of restaurant that everyone wants to have within walking distance of their home. It is a small restaurant (only a few tables) that combines a fishmongers with a smart casual eatery..."
