Overall 8.5 - Food 8, Ambience 9, Value 8, Service 9

As a Restaurant Manager of 10 years, and my 3 friends also involved in the hospitality industry, we are not always easily pleased, especially as we go out sans children and husbands very rarely!

We had a fabulous time, the food was hearty pub grub served promptly, and the service was fantastic- not once were we made to feel that we were holding up proceedings by taking a while to order, and we sat for a couple of hours on a busy day without being made to feel that we needed to move along. These are things that we notice and appreciate, and we are already making plans to head back to Flavours for our next Baby Lunch in a month or so.

We will reccomend Flavours to everyone looking for a wide variety of great food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. We just wish we could come back with our husbandsfor a Sunday session!!   (August, 2008)

Overall 8.8 - Food 9, Ambience 8, Value 9, Service 9

Flavours Cafe was always one of those places that everyone told me about but I had closed my mind that a little cafe in the country town wouldnt be worth it... Boy was I wrong !!! This cafe is one of those traditional places were you go to meet up with friends, catch up with family, or for that special dinner for two. The staff must be hired for their professionalism but mostly their friendliness because they are ALWAYS busy, but never make you feel like they dont have time for you. They greet you with a smile and will almost always remember what you had the last time you visited and whether you liked it or not. Their food is always presented in a "dig in to this wonderful meal" kinda way and their establishment is always clean. Their servings are always "too big" and a "doggy bag" is happily provided. They will prepare a meal to Your liking, Not theirs, and you will not be disappointed. When family visited from interstate, (Rich and Upper class people) we took them to Flavours Cafe and they requested to come back again the next night. They loved it as much as we do. Put this place on your list of things to do - and make sure you keep time in your schedule for when you will return - because you will return - again and again and again !!!   (Wendy and Jason - March, 2008)

"It's one of those rare places that manages to be all things to all people. There are seafood platters and schooners of prawns on Friday and Saturday...The (appeal) is the freshness of the food and generosity of the servings."

Madeline Healy, The Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 2006 - January 2006
