Had A family birthday meal

probably opt for a normal main course next time we had Degustation which we thought was a bit light on

All in all a very pleasant evening meal, there was a small issue with one of the dishes but would give Focus another chance. It was a busy night and some dishes did appear slightly over cooked. Entree's were excellent , and with the crayon friendly table cloths the whole party had a very enjoyable evening. Table spacing was excellent , friendly staff and great selection of wine made our evening complete. Fresh and relaxed....   (September, 2009)

The food was beautiful - I had the paella and my friend had the moreton bay bugs, and both meals were wonderful. The service was friendly and attentive and the decor was modern and fresh. It was a little quiet and not many people were there (but then it was State of Origin game night so can't expect too much!).   (See my reviews (8) - June, 2009)

Tried with Entree's, succeeded with mains and desert. Service from younger female staff member poor. We will give them another go though. Good value finer dining away from the inner city.   (April, 2009)

What a lovely experience! My friends took me to Focus by James for lunch for my birthday. I had recommended the restaurant after my previous experience. We pre-ordered and the meals were cooked to perfection and ready soon after we were seated.

James was greeted us then seated us and was ever so attentive though not hovering. The meals were beautifully presented.

I attended Focus with several friends and we thought that it was fantastic. Could not fault the food, service, ambience and value for money. I will be attending again shortly with other friends to celebrate my birthday.   (See my reviews (2) - March, 2009)

the service was outstanding, the wife had the salmon and i had the steak borh of these meals were bautiful.The wife and I celabrated our 10th wedding aniversary so the ambience is spot on,the service was perfect and all of this was topped of with a fantastic price. We will definately recomend this to our family and friends. James and his staff were fantastic keep up the good work.   (March, 2009)

This is the restaurant Springwood needed!

A social (love the crayons) and casual experience in a fine dining atmosphere. The food was great (Best steak I've had in years). The chef deserves congratulations for the high quality and presentation of the food.

All in all we had a Fantastic romantic evening and look forward to seeing this little treasure develop,

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The Head Chef is unbelievable and we would like to see him applauded for his menu. Went there for a party not long back and thought the food was stunning. The atmosphere is intimate and ambient and we had a great night. The Head Chef is certainly a find for the Springwood area and deserves praise in the extreme. We will DEFINITELY be back for more. Went there with a few friends and a great night. They have just opened up so a few glitches but overall it was awesome. Food was fantastic and the owner James is on the floor and alot of fun. Great to see some quality dining in Springwood.   (Robyn - October, 2008)
