Cumin lamb!   (June, 2008)

Overall 5.3 - Food 6, Ambience 6, Value 6, Service 3

Food was OK, but he service was horrendous. After the initial round of steamed dishes, our party of four waited for 20 minutes before the next round of dishes came by. This, in my view, is NOT how Yum Cha is served - should be constant. We were ready to get up and leave and the manager I think overheard our comments and came straight over to rectify the situation. The place wasn't that busy (was 1.00pm) so no excuses there. Felt like the staff were only interested in catering for the Asian customers anyway.   (March, 2008)

Overall 3.5 - Food 2, Ambience 5, Value 5, Service 2

With New Shanghai closing down it seems like Yum cha in canberra is no more. Tried 4 rivers on the weekend with Chinese friends form Sydney who all agreed it was average at best.   (February, 2008)

Overall 9.8 - Food 10, Ambience 9, Value 10, Service 10

The food was fabulous, extremely tasty, nice relaxed environment with music. the service is excellent now.   (PJ - January, 2008)

Overall 8.3 - Food 10, Ambience 7, Value 9, Service 7

The food was fabulous, extremely tasty, nice relaxed environment. Unfortunately the service in regard to getting drinks form the bar was rather slow which did mar the experience somewhat.   (JD - July, 2007)
