"Clyde and Lesley have made an honest attempt to make Friends one of Perth's best restaurants, but the kitchen is a serious Achille's heel... If you are looking for a serious and conventional restaurant that takes no chances with its food, has excellent service and an unbelievably comprehensive wine list."

Skip Bowman, Paul Eats Perth - January 2006
"Visitors to Friends will be disarmed by the charm of this elegant but understated restaurant. It is a relaxing way to enjoy exceptional dining, with the country’s very best wines, great service and panoramic views of the Swan River...The cuisine...is often described as modern Australian with a blending of the world’s finest culinary techniques, and an abundance of fresh local produce...Friends’ wines are also very well priced and the restaurant is reputed to have one of the finest arrays in the country...Friends Restaurant makes for the perfect West Australian dining experience."

Rob O’Brien, Masters of Cuisine - January 2006
