Garden Buffet

Food was bad; I prepare better food at home. There was only 1 dish I liked the grilled lamb chop but not worth the price of the buffet. I did not see all the 130 dishes advertised in website. The Asian dishes had too much tapioca/cornstarch and veggies looked tired. The fried chicken and roast chicken were not good at all (most likely reheated), makes me shudder just thinking about the first bite, bleh. Minestrone soup looked and tasted like the chilli con carne only soupier. The carvery had the ham and roast beef already carved, not appetising to look at. Dessert was so-so, watermelon OK, rock melon overripe. I like Coke better than Pepsi but they only had Pepsi. No labels on all the stations, my son inadvertently put a big blob (it had a big serving ladle) of whipped cream on his dessert plate thinking it was something else. Should have taken a queue from the lack of a queue at the reception desk. The service crew who cleared the tables were quick and attentive; they did not let the plates of half-eaten bad food collect for long on the table. Never coming back. Not worth the trip and the parking fee.   (Maria - May, 2007)
