"This is the only restaurant I know of that closes down for Christmas break for 2 weeks and they know we will all come back :). We have tried many GC restaurants and always keep coming back the food is just great."

"Sure it can get a little noisy but the quality of the food, service and value for money, sure make up for it. Have visited Garlic Clove a dozen times over the last 10 years and the only thing that changes is the specials board. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed" more reviews

As a french I would have expected more of a traditional french food, like fois gras, magrets de canard, confit de canard but the food we had was great, the ambience is very frenchie, good value for money compare to some french restaurant on the goldie, and the service was excellent... but nobody was french, which was a shame... But we will still go back quiet often.   (March, 2008)

Everyone had a great time! Our server was absolutely delightful and really made the night. The only thing that brought it down a little was how small the whole area was, especially with so many patrons filling the joint. Great for the busines, just made it a little difficult to get around - granted, we did had a large group (11 adults and 2 bubs) and I suppose normally one would need to walk to the other end of the restaurant to see others in their party. I would definitely like to return for a quaint evening date, maybe mnid week instead of the weekend, aswell. Thank you for a great time!   (Joy - March, 2008)

"Jean Pierre Ouary and his wife Anne-Marie have been running this small but smart restaurant on the Gold Coast for about 10 years. The couple ran a restaurant in Perth for a couple of years before going back to their French homeland to hone their skills and returning to open Garlic Clove."
