    I thought this place was really cool and they had really good lamb shanks. I think that some of the meals were over priced for example the deep fried skewers (can't really remember the name of them...

    Food was very average and the staff were not very friendly.

      I thought this place was really cool and they had really good lamb shanks. I think that some of the meals were over priced for example the deep fried skewers (can't really remember the name of them). The cocktails were also amazing, however bar service was really slow. I went with a group of people and everyone really enjoyed it, i think it would be more enjoyable with your partner thou as it is really relaxing and romantic :).       This was the best dining experience I have ever received. I am so glad that I discovered this restaurant. My Partner & I will definitely be back in the near future. The service was laid back & yet professional. The cocktails were amazing. I come from a Hospitality background & have dined at a lot of restaurants, this was the best experience ever!!       Gaurvas is a total disappointment, The food was watery and way too expensive for entree sized dishes. It is a shame that all dishes (including vegetarian meals) were the same price, considering how much less expensive vegetarian meals cost to prepare. My meal, which consisted of some breads and dip (shared) 1dish, some rice and a cocktail, was 40 dollars. Very excessive. The seating was cramped and uncomfortable. The novelty of sitting on the floor wore off after most of our table started getting pins and needles. It was also way too dark. The waitresses were snappy and very slow to bring drinks. The cocktails were terrible - they had been watered down and none of the ingredients were fresh. We were only allowed to stay for 2 hours, which was ridiculous. There are far better restaurants in Brisbane - don't waste your time.   (Rachel - May, 2008)
