We welcome you at GAYLORD truly Indian Restaurant . We are proud to offer you the ancient arts of INDIA - world famous Indian Foods, art, culture and classical music. India is one of the oldest multi cultural nations on earth.Tandoori cuisine originated in northern India during Mughal time.

Tandoor is a large clay pot in which meat, seafood and some vegetables are marinated in yoghurt, fresh ground spices, aromatic herbs and then cooked on skewers. The juices dripping on the burning charcoal, mingle with smoke to contribute to the flavour. Many kinds of Tandoori bread are slapped on the side of the Tandoor oven for baking.

Good Indian food, good ambience - especially liked their butter chicken! Service was good, even though the restaurant was packed, but our food arrived in good time, steaming hot from the kitchens!

Quite possibly the worst Indian restaurant ever. I am an Indian and live abroard for many years. I have been to several countries and been to Melbourne before. I have tried several Indian restaurants around the world and in Melbourne and happened to have the misfortune of visiting Gaylord. The food was beyond horrible. . . there was literally a litre of oil floating on the chicken mussallam, the tandorri fish was rubbery, the naans partially cooked and cold, the rice was cold, the palak paneer was laced with artificial colors. The oil in the chicken was enuf for a 20 year old to develop any sickness in an instant. And when asked about the oil in the food and the undercooked naan, there was a casual response. And all this 3rd grade food which was quite expensive, even for Melbourne prices. Avoid it at all cost   (aqoaq - December, 2011)
