"Child friendly restaurant which provides a "rustic" ambience with bench seats and rather brillant lighting. The food was hearty with good sized portions but truely authenic, I don't think so. The service was fast and friendly. Not a restaurant for an intimate dinner for two but for a reunion of old friends with children it did the job."
"Took a work party and was offered seating for 14 at a table for 8-10. Food very average. Tried to make up for initial seating error but not very successful." more reviews

Child friendly restaurant which provides a "rustic" ambience with bench seats and rather brillant lighting. The food was hearty with good sized portions but truely authenic, I don't think so. The service was fast and friendly. Not a restaurant for an intimate dinner for two but for a reunion of old friends with children it did the job. Took a work party and was offered seating for 14 at a table for 8-10. Food very average. Tried to make up for initial seating error but not very successful. (Tony - See my reviews (2) - May, 2009) Overall 8.8 - Food 8, Ambience 8, Value 9, Service 10
A relaxed and enjoyable evening (February, 2009) Overall 7.5 - Food 6, Ambience 9, Value 8, Service 7
I'd rate the ambiance to be the standout feature, if you want an intimate experience with not too much clutter. (See my reviews (2) - December, 2008) Overall 5.5 - Food 8, Ambience 7, Value 6, Service 1
Very disappointed and annoyed to be charged corkage for bottles of water brought in by the children. Absolutely shameful!! Dont suppose we would have been charged for a jug of water? Restaurant response - We sincerely apologise if there was some confusion with corkage. Our policy is to charge corkage for BYO wine only, and certainly not for children that bring their own water. The unfriendly waitress in question was at our restaurant on a trial basis only and is no longer with us. As an act of good faith we would like to offer you and your family a discount of 25% off your next bill if you could find it within yourself to give us another try (just ask for Giovanni and mention this review). (December, 2008) Overall 10 - Food 10, Ambience 10, Value 10, Service 10

Traditional Italian you would travel to Italy for. Expect to give your taste buds a meal they will savour. (Gary - November, 2008) Overall 8.5 - Food 8, Ambience 8, Value 9, Service 9

The food was very edible, the service we had to chase up a bit, but the meal was worth it. (October, 2008) Overall 4.8 - Food 5, Ambience 5, Value 5, Service 4
Had dinner there on the weekend -the place is too crowded -not enough room. It took 10minutes to get water and drinks to the table! Starter pizza came out at ok timing but then the bruschetta also ordered came out 15-20mins later. It was SO embarrasing as i chose the place for a group of 5+. The meals were so amateur and the experience was just disgraceful. Never again. (Not happy jan - October, 2008) |
