BEST FOOD EVER, i eat there everytime i go to yamba, dissapointed to see the 2-3 negative reviews here, my wife and i been going there for 28 years and i daresay the few that complained wouldnt know good food even if they where choking on it (gormans restaurant - August, 2011)

Anyone visiting Yamba don't take our word or anyone's elses for that matter try it for yourself, absolutely first class. Have never seen seafood platters like this anywhere, everything about the place made it a truly enjoyable experience, our waitress for the evening was Lizzie and she did an amazing job. We have been going to this extraordinary and original restaurant for the past 20 years and could not fault it in any way... except that it gets better and better!!!
The food is exceptional and the service and ambiance is out of this world. The surprise cakes that come out (all free!!) are an attribute to the thoughtfulness of the owners.....would recommend this place, overlooking the waters from both sides of the restaurant to anyone who enjoys dining and the company of there guests!!!! I visited the Gormans restaurant on the 4\52010. and i cant stop braging about it to everyone who will listed, i absolutely loved everything about it. can not fault it in any way whatsoever LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT ...keep up the magnifisent work and dont change a thing. Quirky and unique. I'm a little disappointed to see the negative reviews here, I always recommend a visit to Gorman's to visiting friends and family and they've have never let us down. It is the best seafood in Yamba bar none. This is old Yamba dining, and definitely worth a look. (June, 2010)
