Had breakfast and have no complaints. Everything was fine. The location is what really distinguishes it from its peers. Service was prompt and pleasant and menu is reasonably priced.

A large group of us had a Sunday morning breakfast there, I didn't have a good look inside but outside the tables are small and you can only fit 4 people at each one so we had to spread out a bit. This isn't a complaint just pointing it out in case other people were thinking of bringing a group there.

The waitresses were all fast, unobtrusive and friendly, the only reason I didn't give them a 10 is because I didn't order so I didn't really interact with them.

I had the omelette which I think was fairly average considering it was the most expensive meal on the breaky menu - it was a bit dry and the mushrooms they used were canned. My husband enjoyed his bacon and egg breakfast, and the cappuccinos where pretty good, not too hot.

Overall the prices were pretty reasonable, and we would go back there again.   (Grange Jetty Cafe - January, 2011)

Lovely location on the beach, the waitstaff were friendly and not a long wait for the food.

Croissant was burnt, tomatoes were not ripe, bruschetta was nothing more than a toasted cheese and tomato open sandwich. Coffee was also burnt.

A great pity as its a really lovely cafe, but the food really does not do it justice.   (grange jetty cafe - April, 2010)

We left The Grange Jetty Cafe feeling adequately full and totally under whelmed. Yes, this restaurant is in a great location, but that is the only highlight. The food was adequate, but we both felt our meals were tasteless/bland. My chicken and mushroom risotto was completely tasteless, with the exception of garlic, which had been added with a shovel, rather than a teaspoon. I had the impression everything had been cooked separately and then mixed together before serving (large clumps of over cooked rice clinging together gave this game away). My girlfriend’s chicken parmagiano was also tasteless. We both added plenty of salt and pepper and soldiered on.

We had soft drinks. My diet coke was from a pump and tasted watery (not enough syrup). The orange juice was from carton (concentrate not freshly squeezed).

On a lighter note, the service was friendly and the price reasonably.

I would struggle to recommend this restaurant to anyone when there are so many other good ones about.   (Could do better. - October, 2008)

Very enjoyable, the food was excellent (very tasty) and the service was second to none "friendly, polite and professional staff". I'd already enjoyed breakfast here before, but this was the first time for a meal "but definately not the last". Thank you to the staff and management, I highly recommend the Grange Jetty Cafe for brecky or an evening meal, it's a great scenic location! Brett - December 2007   (December, 2007)

Overall very good. Well set up inside and out to take advantage of the very nice view. Meals were great, and very reasonable at around the $20 mark.   (December, 2007)

Once the location of one of South Australia's rare dining gems, it boasted a gourmet menu and fantastic wine list, but times have certainly changed. The recent change of ownership has killed this former gourmet’s treasure. The Grange Jetty Café is a poor substitute for its predecessor, the Grange Jetty Kiosk. In short, it is not a dining experience to be recommended. The food was substandard. The kitchen was poorly organized, and the service was not for a second professional, it was almost non-existent. The management is brutally rude. What a shame, as this was once a revered South Australian institution, a delight to visit, and a pleasure to all of the senses. Unfortunately, due to its location and view, it seems that the new Grange Jetty Kiosk will continue to disappoint.   (July, 2007)

So nice (and sadly rare) to find a restaurant with beach frontage - completely unspoilt view. So, yes, nice spot to eat. The food was the real drawing card though. Absolutely delicious and a cut above the rest! Brilliant chef. Every flavour stood out!   (guy and megan - February, 2007)
